sticky residue will come off easily with bit of WD40 or degreaser. spray a bit and rub it off... i won't mind at all if shop plaster discount sticker all over the box :)

All great suggestions Duffman! Mind you it's better on the plastic than on the cardboard box IMO...

Quite disappointing the UK no longer has a chain model shop for diecast. Really miss look before I buy and spontaneous purchases!

Aye, I used to visit the 'proper' MZ stores before they went under, did buy things too not just look, but I live near the Manchester WH Smith one and its sadly poor, mainly plastic kits and trains with 3-4 1/18 diecast.

I went to an Aviation Shop and the owner said to me whatever stock he gets, it's all Ex-Model Zone stuff and it's sold at a cheaper rate than online.

I used to love modelzone the last car I got from there was my white norev mk1 golf gti as they were closing I got it for £29.99. A damn shame they went under though.

Im not sure what to think yet about the HWE Laferrari. I have many HWE but to me the quality of the Laferrari doesnt look as good as the 599XX or 599EVO, those massive bonnet hinges put me off.

Looks great in white. You mean the Blue Moon version? These were about 160GBP when CK/Modelissimo etc had them in stock. I got very lucky with the Grey BBR version and picked it up for about 120GBP shipped.

Alright MAISTO/Burago first do the California T. Then make the LaFerrari FXX K Abu Dhabi version. Maybe make the 288 GTO Evolutione. Then the P4/5. Then we'll see these people bashing Maisto/Burago on what would they do when they see these on the shelves of their favorite model shops or ebay or amazon or COSTCO. I bet you they would shut their mouth and open up their wallets and buy em.

In UK mate, usually an expensive site but with 33% off put it at £170 and Koenigsegg Agera at £150 which now is cheapest I can find here.

I actually wrote that review. It's got waterslide decals on the top and tampo prints on the side, which is very odd. The edge of my hood decal was lifting a bit around the strakes but that's cause it'd be nearly impossible to put a tampo around such geometry. Subsequent models had better decal qc, but it's worth it for a good price

I too have noticed a slight decline in quality - nothing major, but I have received several newer releases with minor flaws.

They are excellent. So is their sister brand, Bizarre. But even 1:43s are getting expensive...
