I currently have a mint CCX and love it. However, I am contemplating selling it in order to purchase the Agera. They are both very good looking cars, but they look very similar. What would you do?

To tell you the truth, I think the CCX looks better than the Agera. IMO the front end looks better, I'm not a fan of the vent behind the front wheels on the Agera and the rear of the CCX looks better. I also like the CCX's wheels better although I wish they were the "telephone dial" style wheels. The rear spoiler and diffuser on the Agera seem a little ricey even though I'm aware they greatly improve performance :twocents:

I like both as well. However I like the CCX significantly more. The killer for me on the Agera is the rear end. It's definitely function over form.

This is very common. The new car is a novelty and you feel like it's worth selling the CCX for it. But if you do, you'll miss it. Save up for it instead.

Keep the CCX and buy the agera. That way you won't regret selling the CCX and you can make one heck of a comparison topic when you do get the agera

It's not about novelty to me. It's about updating my collection while making a smart decision because the cars are so similar. It's part of the fun in this hobby :nice:

But if I get rid of one of them I can use the funds to buy another model on my wishlist like the Huayra, Veyron SS, MP4-12C or the upcoming McLaren F1

I kept my CCX and bought 2 Ageras haha! I wouldn't sell the CCX; it's one heck of a model! I regret not buying more CCXs when they were "cheap" and widely available...

I would do neither, Keep the CCX, BUT wait for the Agera R model, which will look even better than the Agera regular, which I agree is underwhelming. The Agera's Autoart did all look odd to me, the color combo on the two striped versions looks odd to me, to many colors going on, but the red actually needs the black strip that continues to the dash, that would set it off. All three options are just not sharp enough to command my hard earned $250.

I bought all 3 colors of the ccx when they were widely available.... ( not sure I would classify the price as cheap, but in comparison to the agera & huayra; I would definitely say cheaper!)  I like the Agera a lot (especially in red) but it's just too similar to the ccx and on my hitlist of newly released acquisitions I would purchase the AUTOart red huayra first, then red aventador j, then red agera.

And I think club shaker was referring to the Koenig One:1! LOL

(now that's something I would buy in a heartbeat)

I'd be waiting for the R which will turn up eventually.

P.S not sure what you meant with the Aventador J being the wrong colour :dunno:  I have one and it looks right to me.

Keep CCX...Buy Agera...

If you sell CCX, you will regret it later, guaranteed..

From what you've said, I wouldn't even bother getting the Agera. You've mentioned a lot of things you dislike with the car, such as the rear, wing, vent behind the front wheels etc. Clearly you like the CCX a lot more, so just keep that instead.

Haha. Orange is nice, but silver works too. I display this car close to my UT McLaren F1 LM and try to have a variety of colors (don't display cars of same color close to one another)

Wait for the R. (or ONE if you're patient lol). To me the Agera with that small rear wing looks "tamed". The Agera R is more aggressive with a big wing.

I did say FrontiArt makes the One:1 in 1:18 scale, it's like £30 more than the AUTOart Agera ;)

I was unaware it's a diecast. Thought they only made resin models. Nice :occasion14:

FYI: The FrontiArt version is a resin model. I stand corrected.
