I shipped via EMS and got it within 3 business days from Japan. They always ship with crumbled paper or # shaped structures. No the seal didn't work, the customs went through my package and slapped me in the back.

The Ig package has external box plus one more. Unless your package gets submerge in water or fell off a cliff, the model should be safe and sound. Nice job there.

Tada!

I recommend Amiami for the rare imported models such as IG, others like autoart I would suggest elsewhere.

Thanks.

I have the Andromeda LB GTR R35 Duck Tail on pre-order with them. Curious now to see how it works out. Can't complain about 3 business day shipping from Japan though. That is quick.

Even their registered mail is very fast, they are my number one Japanese resellers for 1/18 models.

What was the value declared and how much were you charged?

I have an IG NSX secured for June so I'm curious to know what the damage will be like.

They put 22,400 + 5000 yen (??) total to 27416. For w/e reason they up-ed the value, but regardless you'll probably gonna get a $52.79 GST and Handling fee via EMS.
I had to pay about the same amount for a package worth 12k yen which was bullsh*t.

Perhaps that 5000 was the EMS fee they're pushing onto you as well lol

It's not all BS really. There may be something to the system or how they calculate the tax we don't know about. For instance, a bundle of stuff in a box valued at 23000yen arrived to my door one time with zero customs via Canada Post. $872's worth of IGs I bought from carmodelz hit me with $41 via Fedex. About $900's worth from modelissimo for $99 via Canada Post. The package I received yesterday from modelissimo containing $205's worth hit me with $37.

I don't remember how many times I have bought from them to Toronto. The latest model I got was 787B right here:

And even that wasn't taxed by CBSA. In fact none of the amiami packages have been taxed. Mind you that I have never used EMS, I used SAL to save 2500 yen.

Yeah, I know SAL has <5% chance of getting customs first hand. But when it comes to anything near or over 20k yen I rather go with EMS.
