The car just came in yesterday so I haven't really had a chance to have a very detail look at it. IMO, the car looks quite nice on display (typical AUTOart std), shut line is good, the door closing mechanism seem to be better than most Diecast models that I own. The only complaint that I have is the weight of the car, feel far too light and flimsy. Well since we are talking about AUTOart "composite" series, I guess this is expected. My apologies for the unclear photos as I am still trying to figure out how to attached in all my photos within the attachment limit but not affecting the resolution.

The interior looks nice from your aerial shot!! :eusa_clap: ..the model looks good, but why does AUTOart keep doing that Matt Black stuff??? :dunno:  This could rocked in gloss black & knowing AUTOart, they will all of a sudden release that color last! :dizzy: ..just to rake in profits! :twocents:  Congrats & Cheers! :occasion14:

Thanks DND land ... generally I prefer gloss to Matt color though I must admit the Matt black goes quite well with this model.

Thanks for the detailed shots! I compared the engine with the actual car and it looks nothing like the real thing. I cut and paste to show right here.

The good: Autoart tried? (Too complex to replicate)
The bad: Didn't even bother with proper carbon and color coding the wires etc)
The ugly: If it is like this then they should've sealed that sh*t up.

I take no credit for making this.

Thanks for sharing this, if it was glossy black I think I would have got this one. I am gonna get one of these but I am not liking it as much as I did when they first showed it. The engine looked better on the first prototype.

I have a strange ? for you. Was this model easy to remove from the packaging? did it feel like you were gonna break it? SOmetimes those screws are in there so tight I think I am gonna push my screwdriver right through the model!

To be honest I have never seen a picture of p1 engine till now ... When I first saw the exposed engine, I was thinking it looks way too sparse for an AUTOart model. Haha I guess I will be covering it up with the engine cover for now. Another thing that I don't really like about this model is the "spokes" that is holding up the rear spoiler, very flimsy and like very "plastic". Other than that not too much complaint about the car for now.

Yes ... It feels super duper fragile. I was so worried about breaking the rear spoiler and the engine cover when putting the car together. The pieces are really very thin so you probably wouldn't dare to apply too much strength.

It looks great except for the engine...im sure someone here will modify it and add wires and paint at some places but we should not have to do this with a expensive model like this one!

OMG!! :omg: When $20-50 dollars 1/18th scale 'Forces of Valor' Military models have more painting and realistic detail than a 300 Euro AUTOart something is very wrong, very! :gaah: :mad2:  I'm tired of this AUTOart 'take us all for a bad ride' stuff! They need to get their act back together. :hope: ..but, also keep their prices in check too. I worry that they might have money issues or something as  the prices keep going up, yet the quality is really slipping

Assuming you live in Singapore Carpool, may I ask you how much did you pay for this P1?

Hi MSZ, actually I ask a friend to buy it direct from the AUTOart outlet in HK. Bought it at retail price HKD 1950 which translate to roughly USD 250.

Thank you very much for posting pics of the model. The engine does indeed look horrible. Awaiting a look at the Amethyst Black TSM before making my decision.

Lol ... From what I understand the model is not exactly flying off the shelves now. This might not be such a bad thing after all.

This has to be the biggest letdown in AUTOart history. Look at the F1! Look at how long it took them to release this!... LoL... Dumbfounded...

Thanks to the OP for the response on the fraigility of the model. I would look for TSM's but right now they cost more than what it is to preorder the AUTOart here in the states. They are not done making P1's right?

Thanks for sharing pics and info! This has convinced me to hold off on buying the P1 and waiting to see how the prices fluctuate. Meanwhile I've pre ordered the TSM silver development car for a reasonable price and can certainly live with a sealed engine vs AutoArts terrible effort!

Nice pics of the model! Glad to not see production website photos. I am extremely shocked at the engine detail on this. I thought I was looking at a hot wheels or a maisto model! Now I know why they never showed the engine on the website lol. At least they got the shape of the car and the interior down. I'm surprised though of why a composite model is $250... That's more than the EB110 that came out last year, and that one was metal and had decent details except for the interior! I thought the composite series was gonna be their "cheaper" series??

Oh just curious, where did you get that stand for your 1:18 autoart f1? It looks really nice and I would like to display my f1 on a nice base like that

I think when closed it still looks great. I agree with all about the engine though. I have the  Zonda R and it sits as closed engine 99% of its time in IKEA cabinet. In a perfect world, I would love to see exoto engine detail in this but not going to happen. I don't own the TSM version as well, but from pics, to me, this looks better. Congrats for the add.

How about any news about 918?

Congrats and thank you for the pics. The engine is indeed disappointing, but the exterior is quite nice. The price though...
