I don't understand how a model  that was in a sound blocked original packaging, and then packed very well but still ended up in this order :gaah:
Sure that everything will be resolved hopefully by next week as I really love the paint on this sample and I have already repaired the hood strut :nice:   Still a lovely model, but if you really collect diecast models from China..you know that Century Dragon produced this model for Schuco. It's really much like my Tesla Model S' in 1/18th scale feel and quality .

So, here's some pics of my seat and front trunk strut out of wack:

Hopefully I can say " :occasion14: " by the end of next week...

It seems QC in general isn't what it used to be for most brands. A friend of mine got 4 of these (I think coupe and targa's combined) and he said all of 4 had some issues but he kept 2 and returned the other 2 for a replacement

Might be a crazy coincidence or something, I don't know. I'm just saying ..

Thanks for the feedback! Out of my three 1/18th scale Schuco Porsches, this is the first and only one with problems ..and hopefully our last. :occasion14:

Thanks, the Cayman is just fine ...which I am grateful for! :yahoo: ...but, it was the 991 Targa that I have waited for all year long.  So I am disappointed with this result.

Really sad to see this. It could have smth to do with shipping. Maybe the package was dropped during transport. I am sure ck will replace this right away.
Is the Cayman really good? I mean no QC issues, no problems with the black paint around the lower part of the rear bumper etc? Maybe you can post some pics of the GT4 as well. THX.

if you bought from CK models, im sure they will replace it. i once got a very damaged AUTOart Skyline R33 GT-R from them, which they replaced, and covered the return cost i had.
the Schuco 991 Carrera GTS i bought had a bump in the side of the box, and some interior panel looked as if it had popped out of its place. but when i took the model apart, i saw it wasnt assembled correct.

by the way, i didnt know Schuco also made this targa version. i might buy one :)

Well, they actually sent me an email saying that they are trying to get a seat from Schuco and that was before I told them that I wanted to keep this one because the paint job is FLAWLESS!! :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:

Alex, I waited so long for a diecast Targa 991 versus a resin and then when this shows up..such a let down

Hopefully, all will go smoothly. :occasion14:

if it is assembled the same way the 991 Carrera GTS is, it will be easy to change the seat if you get a replacement. but i cant tell if the bonnet strut is a easy fix.

Hey Alex, I have already fixed the hood strut, but seat I will have to fix as the model is still sold out..I worked out something with them for that part. I will have to refinish the silver part on the seat and buy/make a metal rod for the support pass-through.
