I received mine recently, and had considerable difficulty in getting the pins on the tire rack into the uprights, and then the tire rack uprights into their respective holes in the trailer. I have several of the older GMP trailer sets, and had never experienced the amount of resistance in pushing the pins in before.

In my opinion (and I stand to be corrected), it appears that the paint used for this trailer is thicker then prior versions, thereby reducing the clearances.

Here is what I had to do (and maybe I am being overly cautious). I used a 9/64" drill bit for the holes in the trailer, 1/8" just didn't open them up enough for me to feel comfortable forcing a piece of plastic into a piece of metal.

On the tire rack, I drilled those holes to 7/64", which might be a tad big, but l put a spot of SuperGlue in the hole to secure them.

I'd be curious to hear the experience of anyone else who has acquired this particular trailer set.
