I will send GTspirit an email and see what can be done.

1. Side wing - paint damage and resin showing

Apart from these 2, the model looks the part!

Obviously these are not are not from shipping damage, that's why I'm angry :<

I need your opinion. If you received a copy just let me know if it's a good copy or not.

I think they'll tell you to take a hike, but you could open it, reglue that part, and touch up the spoiler with some white paint

well i see 3 options.

1. you could ask for a replacement
2. return the model and get refund
3. maybe get an partial refund, and fix it yourself if you are used to fix models.
the white paint could maybe be touched up with some paint, and the loose interior part could be glued back if you are able to take the model apart.

I think I'll take a hike, cancel all my future orders with them, unlike thier facebook page, block their website on my mobile and pc IF they don't give me a proper answer. It's only fair

1-3. It depends on their response but if I rephrased this situation you would get why I am displeased. I'm handy with my craft and I can do them no problem.

Does anyone buy a NEW conditioned good/ product to have it repaired yourself, so that it is in the condition that they are supposed to be in in the first place?
I build stuff in my workplace and they are qc'd extensively so that they are not delivered with issues.

There is a cost to that, returned shipping, exchanging emails (time), resending products, losing orders etc.

I have also had a bad experience with GTS recently, the BMW M4 M performance pack that was in the same batch of models as your GT4. It came with a ruined stripe and they said they would send me a replacement decals (which still haven't turned up) but they would not replace the model. It also had a number of other small issues that I had fix myself, it was by far the worst GTS model I've ever had qc wise.

i have received a bunch of new models that had some loose parts, but something i could easily fix. if i can fix it myself, it would also be much easier than returning it.
this is quite individual what collectors would accept of flaws, but personally if i was the one with this Cayman GT4, i would have a problem with the paint on the spoiler. and most likely return it for an exchange or refund.

I returned my M3 GTS to GT Spirit because the steering column wasn't glued on. Was replaced without issue.

I once bought a GTS E92 M3 from an eBay seller, basically all interior parts fell off. So I had to take the whole thing apart and glue them back, and the whole process was surprisingly easy. So I wouldn't return it myself since fixing a resin model is so easy, but this is just me, like Alex said everyone sees things differently.

I received my GT4 this week, but there was one thing that bothered me a lot was the excess glue on the plate that tells the number of the fabrication ... I'm a perfercionist, and I fix a lot on the miniatures, I had a 1M that I bought last year Which came with excess glue near the rear M logo, and to get the excess glue I had to take the logo ... I think the amount is making the models lose quality ...

I have the Cayman GT4 too, and I am not that impressed. Paint is average, mild orange peel actually. Such a strange company, like Otto it seems like quality differs quite a bit from car to car.

Yours was in way more sorry state than mine! I already fixed it up and gts did send the dhl return. I will probably tell them its fine but whine about it lol.
