These models are epic, heavy as a brick (all metal chassis) and quality feel throughout. I have two so one gets molested with glue.

The idea is to "tune" the engine, swap wheels and stuff like that. So far at least.

Base model.

Posted Image
Stock engine. 302 bhp of 6 cylinder Hemi fury.

Posted Image
I started by taking the engine completely apart, then repainting and rebuilding, adding bolts, removing bad moulding, etc. The stock carburators are swapped out with resin webers and funnels, like the crate engines and certain racing versions of this engine uses. Its a racing engine to start with, but still. I do love me some funnels.

Pimped battery.

New tanks.

Posted Image
Radiator wrapped in photo-etch + mesh.

Posted Image
Metal bolts for the cam cover. The throttle linkage is scratch made from various metal parts.

Posted Image

Posted Image
Fuel pressure regulator made from various scrap, including a roll cage, lol.

Posted Image

I really like the sleek look of this aussie muscle. Mini muscle car, but compared to "normal" cars its still quite big.

Posted Image

Posted Image
Test fitting of some GMP wheels. This set was quite rough, so it has been sanded a lot. I will paint these wheels black. If I dont like that I will use the other set I have. Amazingly the wheel nuts - removed in these pics - are metal(!).

All for now. :)

Thanks!

80 Comp, I only have this and a 928 in pieces at the moment. Incredible, hehe. (Forresten lagt ut noen biler på finn)

No problem, Gmt! If you are going to get some Webers at some point I suggest you also look at some other funnels, I am not a big fan of the ones supplied with the carbs. Most 1:20 sets will work, the ones used here are these for a Lotus 79(!); https://hlj.com/product/T2M-1065. The reason 1:20 works is that weber funnels are smaller than the top mounted ones for these vintage race cars, but the shape is pretty much universal. (And with so many styles of funnels being used, you basically are "allowed" to go with anything) Top Studio also makes nice ones.

Thanks the suggestions, men! I'm already using some stuffs from Top Studio on my Civic project, but I didn't know about the good quality of their funnels - as I. Certainly these informations will be helpful soon

Test fit. Still many parts missing here, I am being killed by waiting for some parts I ordered last year, lol.

Posted Image
No chassis modding this time, although I am swapping out the exhaust tips, they be fatties.

Posted Image
GMP wheels converted to fit the TK hubs.

Posted Image
Test fit of the wheels. The other two wheels were badly prepped, so had to strip the paint.
