Now available through BMW Lifestyle (part no. 80 43 2 406 146):

BMW Vision Next 100
by NOREV (diecast, no openings/steering)

I wouldn't rate this concept car being a "design highlight" Posted Image in BMW history but as a milestone of centennial it deserves a place in my collection.

In light of the simple and smooth shape of real car you wouldn't expect anything to go wrong but actually Norev did a good job on the small details and overall finishing.
Surprising to me was the huge size and heavy weight of the model. From pics I imagined the real car being pretty compact but in fact it is as long as a 5 series F10 (see pic below) and much wider. Model length: 27cm Posted Image
The weight underlines the feeling of having a true sculpture displayed. Posted Image

But to be honest I hope the future of BMW doesn't look like that. I couldn't get used to this Bugs Bunny face... Posted Image Posted Image

Thanks for sharing. I'm tempted for the shelf presence. Shame it's sealed.

Thanks for sharing, really an interesting model. Like you said, hopefully BMW won't look like this in the next 100 years.

Rubbish name.  They should've called it the BMW Mater:

The next iRobot or Judge Dredd movies will have such BMW cars running around the place. Similar to the Audis used in the previous Will Smith starrer.

Gratuitous advertising plugs like the Audi in I robot or the Lexus in minority report.
