Hi, I don't know much about diecast models but I was going to buy some 1:43 Ferraris. I don't know what this brand is called but the style (yellow lettering on black base)

Is this brand any good? Are the models decently high quality for $30 each? Not looking for BBR quality obviously

Thanks

I think it's a model that was previously made for those magazine collections. Like you buy a magazine each week an it's a new model. Typically, they aren't the greatest of quality because they're made to complement the price of the magazine. Although, there can be some gems around.

I'm not sure which company made this one exactly from the picture, but I've usually seen Altaya as the manufacturers of older magazine models.

sennagts is right. This was made for magazine collections. I think the model is made by Altaya. Try look for IXO models (think they are affiliated to Altaya) . They made better Ferrari models. Next level will be Hotwheels Elite I guess.

Like technica just said, check out Ixo and Hotwheels Elite for pretty good 1/43 Ferrari models. I have a lot of Ixos and love each one. They're also usually priced around $30-$50.

Yeah over here they'd have come with a magazine etc and would have been about £6 all in. It's not a great model etc, not worth $30 - if you are spending that money, you should look at other makers like HWE etc, or maybe even Kyosho if you can find one.

Yes, that model is an Altaya, for the bi-weekly magazines, comes with blister cover, not hard acrylic.
