Wow! If I'd known the competition was gonna be this tough I might not have bothered entering. I think this is the best group of entries yet! Anyway, here's my first entry, a dedication to my favorite F1 driver, the late Gilles Villeneuve, featuring pics from what is probably his most famous race, Dijon '79, where he brought his outclassed Ferrari home 2nd with an incredible demonstration of driving skill. You can read about the race and download video here Dijon 79

Thanks to Mark (Delta Farce) for providing the pic of the model 312 T4

Driving an automatic and thinking you're a skilled driver is like playing Guitar Hero and thinking you can play guitar.

Serious collectors don't buy budget models? Hahahaha...that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard

And my second entry, featuring the McLaren MP4/15, with pic generously donated by Sir Gary. For this I used an action pic of the actual car as a background, manipulated it a bit, then added the model with some blurring beneath it to simulate movement.

Thanks, Mark! There's an easier way to do it, but I couldn't remember how, so I made a white area on a layer, then on a new layer made 2 columns of black squares, duplicated the layer, moved the duped squares over, merged the layers, duped it...etc. When I had a complete checkered area, I merged the black and white layers, then went into transform and used perspective and scale til I got it the way I wanted it.

With my 2nd banner I thought I would do another tribute to one of F1s best drivers Ayrton Senna, his best years were in a McLaren, so thatís the theme I went for, just splash of Brazil's colours & some photos of the great man himself.

EDIT: opps I posted the wrong banner :giggle
