I think you'll be fine posting a plastic kit, we all love a good build! Hope you'll be starting a thread to share the progress. This sounds like an interesting kit.
Sorry about taking so long to get back to post a reply.
The rear suspension can be seen because I had been working on lowering it, the kit default has it set too high.
Each of the halfshafts and rear wheel mounts is made up of 14 plastic parts and two vinyl/rubber boots.
As can be seen by the engine, progress has already gong a lone way in the build process - and the same is true for the rest of the project.
If you are curious as to what's involved, you can see details here:
http://www.1999.co.j...e/10115492/40/1
Click on the images along the top to see how detailed the kit is.
Unfortunately, mine is a 'Cricuit Wolf' version which doesn't have proper decals for a genuine replica of a 1975 BMW CSL.
I hope to get my hands on some decals from an original kit someday, and to produce the car driven by Ronnie Peterson in the Norisring DRM round from that year.

Building a 1937 Mercedes W163 F1 Racer from a vintage kit (all metal); check it out in the thread in this forum.

This one is going to take a while....

mine is a bit crowded these days....

after seeing Lateapex's trailer, I decided to give a go with my long time planned trailer.
it's still in progress and will be a fully covered trailer with doors and openings... (hopefully)

hehe, yeah that Toyota WRC is also WIP ;)

second up is the 98457687584922th Subaru Impreza WRC I am building. this time it's another S5 with proper front bumper ;)
oh, by the way it will be tribute to late French rally driver Mr. Jose Barbara....

and the last one is my newest challenge.
It's a 1/18 scale Resin, Citroen Saxo S1600 with full openings

many more spare rally models are waiting for their turn....

Interesting stuff on your bench! I actually think that generation of Corolla looks great as a tarmac spec rally car - the stance, body kit and wing turn it from dull and awkward into something very cool.  The Saxo is one I haven't seen in 1/18 before.

Any more news on the Mini?

yep, toyota is also one of my favourite rally cars although that ugly headlights :)
this one has five spoke wheels on a privateer car. my aim is to build different drivers and different gravel and tarmac settings. already build 4 and this will be the 5th and last of her series.

I am doing the same for the Impreza WRC. S3 to S6 is my favourite Subaru body shape.
During 1997 to 2000 this chassis is build and developed with 4 different evolutions... so my aim is to have all those 4 cars to be build with their body shape differences. also there were 5 drivers driven this car on gravel and tarmac. This makes it also different wheel sets... :)
and she had 3 different liveries during this period.
So, I will have one of each when I am done with the series...

Otto already released the Saxo S1600 Loeb car couple of months ago. but as its in resin, its sealed.
This kit I am using as base, had been prepared by a French collector almost two years ago. he build the bodykit using Otto's Saxo road car. after building the body kit he also scratch build interior and floor panels...
I had this kit for long time in hand with the intention of giving her a full opening body. and now I already started that project...

Mini is doing fine and sending you her regards, hehehe :)
Not much progress on her but the headlight bulbs are on the way from Portugal... after I receive them, I may put my hands on her and may have some progress...
thanks for the attention

Omer Yetis

Crazy man, so much coolness. You have to the most patient builder ever. 200 years ago you would have been building those ship in a bottle things. :)

This is all the same day :D

I just picked up an Anson Porsche Turbo on ebay at a good price. Always liked this shape. I decided it needed some detailing. So disassembly, flocking and reassemble. Next is painting the black trim, new wheels are enroute.

Also, exact same story with a UT 355. No flocking, but disassembly for cleaning, paint details, and gluing on a broken back wheel, and applying a coat of future to the wheels to help seal in the paint, and hopefully protect them from the dreaded UT wheel melt. we'll see. No after pics...just cleaned and put back together. :)

355 is my favourite "modern" Ferrari, we need someone to make one again. Nice restorations!
