This is my first review it is on the Highway 61 Dodge Challenger R/T 08

Exterior
+It's just a gorgeous car
+It's pretty big but it is truly 1:18 scale
+Overall shape is captured very well
+The grill is 100% accurate with an R/T badge which is in the right spot and is not a sticker
+Front lights are 100% accurate
+Rear light (which is one long bar-shaped light) is 100% accurate
+Markings are in the right spot and accurate, plus are not stickers
+Little details (rear-view mirrors, door handles, etc.) seem to be accurate
-Exhaust are somewhat inaccurate; they're in the right spot but they stick out more on the real car, whereas on the model they are pushed inwards
9/10

+Speakers in the right places and are detailed
+Not sealed
+All the hinges stay open and there are no doglegs
+I just cannot believe how good this interior is
10/10

+Very good brakes, with correct badging
10/10
Posted Image

Paint
+Deep and rich
+Bright orange looks great on the car
+No uncovered spots
10/10

Price
I got a great deal ($32 on sale from mintmodels.com) but I would pay the $60-$70 it can be found for.  They are very easy to find at the time of this review

Overall
This truly exceeded my high expectations for it...it is detailed, it is accurate, the subject matter is so very cool...I highly recommend it

Reason why 1:43 scale cars aren't that popular because most people including me(sorry it I offend) consider them toys and not Collectable model cars. .

Should you collect 1:43?

In my opinion, no if you can afford 1:18 models. First of all, most people will think of them as toys, while 1:18 models can look as something classy if you have a few.

Nice review.

Just my personal opinion, but this model has a flaw that just ruins it for me. The carbon fiber decals used on the hood, grill, etc. look horrible. I think the scale is way off. The CF on the real car does have a black/gray striped appearance, but it's much finer and more subtle than the decals on this model.

If that were fixed I'd buy one of these in a second.

No I think it is on scale, it's bigger than most of my other models but the 1:1 is pretty big too

Thanks for the review :cheers

I was looking at this model the other day as I was going to take some pics of it. Its designed so cleanly with very few parts, it reminded me of a Maisto with carpet.

I say that because it doesn't have a lot of parts to it.

I've got the black version. Outstanding model. I've got a magazine that has the Challenger, Camaro, and GT500 on it, and would make a great display shot. Unfortunately, the only Camaro on the market is a little out of scale with the Challenger and GT500, it's just way too wide. I'll wait until somebody (hopefully AUTOart or Hwy61) makes a 1:18 production Camaro. Until then, it looks great displayed with my old Mopars.
