Fantastic collection :occasion14: :occasion14:

Couldn't have said it better! There's several generations of the Porsche family captured in just one photo here - very, very fantastic indeed. :wavetowel2:

Very nice Porsche collection my friend! I've been putting off on buying Porsche for a couple of months, not to get the ones I'm still missing like the 944 and original 911 from 1964.

Wonder if AUTOart has forgotten about the 1970 908-03s, prototype model of the #20 and #12 cars were made earlier than the release of 1971 cars, no new of them ever since...

No new addition to the collection but keep wondering where are the 1/18 models of all the latest Porsches! :mad2: :mad2:

Aside from the new 991 that just came out, what happened to the whole line of new Cayennes as well as various 997 variant that came out in the past year or so such as GT3 RS4.0, the speedster, the sport classic etc. Then there were also the boxster spyder, cayman R...

Usually dealer edition models would've came out almost at the same time as the 1:1 followed by hobby edition releases within a year. Does no manufacturer want to make these models in 1/18?
Seems everyone just gave up. :gaah:

Looks like my request a year ago is being answered by Minichamps progressively. Following the 991, now came news of the new Cayenne Turbo S in carrera white as a dealer edition release. :wavetowel2: WAP 021 000 0D

Thanks guys, :occasion14:
I passed on this model when it was first released almost 2 years ago. But couldn't to pass it up again when I saw it second time at the local store, love the livery.

The other pre-order purchase from last week also arrived. Another model I passed up when first released.

OCT 2012,
#198 - 908/02 Flunder #1 1969 Watkins Glen Winner, AUTOart

Posted Image Posted Image Posted Image

Initially I decided to skip this model in preference for the #266 1969 Targa Florio winning car. Then I realised the two cars although both being 908/02 are two model types.
This one is of the "Flunder" configuration with flat top surface and almost non-existant windscreen. While the Targa Florio winner was the standard 908/02 with concave surface and large windscreen.

The photo below shows the two Martini sponsored 908/02s, the car at the front is the standard 908/02 and the one at the back is the Flunder.
Attached File  908-02-BOAC-MartiniPorsches.jpg   81.02K   0 downloads
Also notable is the different location of the small round air inlets on the front nose. They are on the outside of the oval inlets adjacent to the front lights for the standard 908/02. For the Flunder, they are located between the oval inlets and main center inlet, which is correctly portrayed in Autoart's model.

ETA on timing of Cayenne?

My guess is the WAP code is a place-holder ("000 0" will likely be replaced).  The "021" denotes 1/18 scale and "D" MY13, but just don't see 000 0 happening...

Thanks guys :occasion14:

After seeing all the photos of the TSM 936 around the net, now I'm really looking forward to getting my preorder of the #4 car. Hope it gets released before 2013 :hope:
What else is on my 5 car wishlist this year... oh yeah, the 356 coupe and 962 from AUTOart. Guess won't see them for another year...
