Ertl is not planning to do them or any other 1/18 diecast for that matter. RC2/Ertl got out of the 1/18 model business. They leased their molds to Auto World.

Their sub-brand, Joy Ride, has re-issued several of their entertainment series cars, but have not done any new molds.
Right now NOTHING is more EXPENSIVE than REGRET!<-Click to see video

Where is it written that the more diecast $$$ equals a better diecast?

I just dont understand why Vin Diesel decided to do the 4th installment, but not the second and the third...oh guess the rough economy is hitting him also :giggle :giggle

Probably because 2 & 3 were soooooo crappy!

I didn't even want to go see them at the theater, even if I loved the first one. I've waited to see them on the Movie channel. Glad I didn't pay $12 to see those!!!

And it's not only Vin Diesel that is coming back for the 4th film, but almost all the original casting from the 1st movie as well...

That 4th film I surely want to see!

The only car I've heard that will be in the movie, and will make it into diecast, even if it's not an official F&F product, will be the GMP 1970 Plymouth Road Runner "The Hammer" that is suppose to come out very soon.

Supposably, Vin will be driving it in the movie ...

So it's not a movie car that will make it into diecast ... but a diecast made from a car that will appear in the movie.

I thought the 3rd installment was okay. The Fortune RX-7 definitely caught my attention and it is such a shame that a diecast for the car wasn't made. I'm sure it would be more popular model than the GT-R.

As for Fast and Furious, I'll watch it for sure.
