And I was not happy. The paint was bubbling on the hood, roof, and the passenger side of the body. The seller says he does not accept returns Posted Image but I contacted him on ebay telling him about the model. When I bought it he told me it was in perfect condition, and he has good ratings, so maybe it's customs fault. But the third time getting this model is not the charm.
Soon I'm going to take my chances with Diecast Models Wholesale again and order a gray one from them.  Posted Image I called them and asked about the model and they told me they have one white and 5 gray in stock.  I told them I bought a white one some time ago and it was broken, and he told me that that was probably the one they had right now. Then I said that I would order a gray one later, and he said "Heh heh that's probably what you should do." They also told me that the white one was discontinued and that there were no more shipments, but when they had three of the gray ones left they would be able to get another shipment. The guy I talked to was nice and polite and his English seemed okay, although he did not apologize for the broken model.

nothing sucks more than waiting for an anticipated model and it being a disappointment.

Sorry to hear about your disappointment dude. I have dealt with DMW before and never had a problem with them so I think they do deserve a second chance. At least, the guy was honest when he warned you not to buy the white R32.

well i must agree...the paint is not exactly what you call perfect...i think the kyosho r32 is more of an older kyosho...looking at the packaging and all.

post some pics of the damage please, maybe i have the same problem :giggle:
Cheers,
Sebastian

OK here they are, sorry for the long wait...

It's everywhere, but especially on the hood, roof and sides. I disputed the transaction in Paypal, and the seller, after two weeks replied, kind of angry:
Dear sir,

How we can solve the problem ? You want me to refund you the costs of products ?

Please advise !

Answer to the question is not only yes, but "hell yes!"

Bummer about the paint.  As mentioned, it sucks after you've been waiting for a certain car only to be disappointed when you get it.  I feel your pain.

FWIW, I agree with Mark.  If possible, link those photos in your e-mail and underline the 'HELL' in Hell Yes, Full Refund please!

Actually I forgot to mention I already replied, but thanks for the advice anyway. :) And God forbid he asks me to send it back - to try to sell it again or to make up an excuse to not refund me my money! I'll be very careful before I buy from sellers outside the US now.
On the plus side though I've now got a whole car's worth of spare parts for free.

That is a manufacturing fault.  The undercoat and primer were not perfect. I'd contact Kyosho and see what they can do for you.  That is the worst I have ever seen.

Update: The seller sent me a reply and I couldn't believe what he told me:

Quote

I don't know why you give me negative feeback and said that I response to you after 1 week. My response to you is very fast (you can see you give me message on 24th Aug 09 and I have response to you on 26th Aug 09, it only 2-days time).

If you want to another perfect one, I can send to you. However, I just want to let you feel good if I can refund you the money at once. Why you feel it is no helpful to you. If you want mode, I would be more appreciated.

Please remove the negative feeback and we can carry on to solve problem. I have approx. 3000 news model will sell over here.

If both of us can solve the problem right now, I do believe we can be very happy to due with each other.

Cheers

ML

My response:
So you're saying that you're not going to refund me unless I remove my negative feedback on ebay? You've got to be kidding me! All I need is my refund back and this will be over. If I don't get my refund by this Monday I'm going to escalate it to a Paypal claim. And by the way, you did take very long to reply to my other messages.

That's right, I'm going to escalate it to a Paypal claim if he doesn't refund me by Monday.

Perfect candidate for a custom job if he lets you keep the model and refunds the money. Time to get some brake fluid...

Update: I escalated it to a claim, and Paypal told me that I have to ship the item back to the seller in its original condition to receive the refund. Unfortunately I took some parts off and broke a few things because I was using it as a test car. Also I don't want him to sell it again. http://www.diecastxc...tyle_emoticons/default/dizzy.gif What should I do?
