Hey guys, I met a local collector refocusing his collection and was able to get no less than 6 models from him. The choice was between these models or the CMC Porsche 901 (pricewise) and I opted for these, since some of them are getting difficult to find. I figured that the 901 can wait till March.

I don't usually buy more than 2 cars at a time, but I couldn't pass the deal.

Here they are, each will get its own presentation thread tomorrow.

This haul and the Nurnberg show announcements lit up the spark (yet again) for the hobby, for me.

Great finds! The Lambo 5000 S and the Diablo GTR are getting very expensive!! Ver y good choice you made, the 901 is beautiful (I have a blue one and love it) but will be in the market for a long time...

That's a great haul. Is the $60 a model? Love the Countach and GTR! Take some pics of the Mercedes G55 AMG, looks like an interesting SUV.

Nice additions Florin. Congratulations. :occasion14:
Edit: I seen you celebrating your purchases or is it to forget the damage to the bank balance?

Thanks Eddie, they are here to stay.

Sharp eye, Winston. Actually I am celebrating a little more than that; After a pretty bad year (2009), namely the business venture that I tried to start up did not succeed, I started looking for a job. And after numerous interviews and frustration, I ended up with 2 job offers last week. I am starting my new job tomorrow and that coincides with the addition of these models.

It called for a single malt :occasion14:

Congrats Florin, I'll drink to that :occasion14:

What type of business did you try to start up if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks, Dav! Not at all, after spending almost 10 years in the dry ingredient handling equipment field (namely feeders, bulk bag loaders/unloaders, screw conveyors, etc), I started up a business (partnership) with my co worker - an engineer. We made a few screw feeders and other pieces of equipment. But times were tough and dealing with capital projects nowadays isn't exactly easy.

Thank you, Winston! It was a much needed change in my life and deciding to change industries after 10+ years was a tough decision...

Hey, I give you props for trying it! I wish I had the courage and more capital to start my own business. Lot's of ideas, but family, mortgage and expenses (not to mention this hobby) always makes you think twice...

Thanks. I did have a great supporter (my wife). Without her, it wouldn't have been possible.

Yes, it is one of my heaviest models in 1/18. Perhaps the other one that can rival it is the Kyosho DE WTCC 2006 Andy Priaulx.
