Who ends up with the signature-clad die-cast in the end? :questionmark:

How about we auction it off, with the proceeds going to support DiecastXchange :questionmark:

We need somebody in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Taiwan and perhaps China and Japan. That should do it.

Perhaps this is a rough outline of what we need to get this up and running;

1. Determine the model to be passed around.
2. Determine the volunteers from different countries who are going to participate.
3. Volunteers determine the shipping cost in equivalent USD for the different planned destinations from their respective country of origin so that everything can be as fair as possible.

I don't think we have any active members in Japan or Taiwan, unfortunately. It would be fascinating to see the Mini in China.

Maybe the next Mini could see more of Europe? Lately, we've had members join from France, Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, and more, and we already have Lithuania and Slovenia. Even some in Africa, we could get it to Uganda and South Africa if we wanted.

We've got a few members in Australia as well.

Like another poster mentioned, it'd be really cool if we could get this to Antarctica.

Agree...a light model would probably work best to keep the postage down. I didn't even think about that.

I think auction the model off would be a pretty good idea, although I think the proceeds go to a car related charity.

I would love to be included this time, I was too late for the last one. I do think any money from the sale of it should go to help this forum as that is where it starts and finishes up....just my 2 cents.

Perhaps a good idea to create more space for people to sign on is to include a base plate with the model...

I'm in! Although there's not too many places of interest in Northern Ireland. :giggle:

It wouldn't be too difficult to plan a route to make sure that shipping stays to a minimum, i'm sure it could done if organised well :icon_scratch:

I have a Silver Bburago Chevrolet Corvette coupe that I was going sell we could use that, and I could get a white cardboard back to write on as well as the car.

That's a good idea but you still need more space. A base plate can serve to hold the car as well as a place for people to sign on. Looks nice too.

Lets pass an autoart around so we can see how much more it gets wrecked as it is shipped. good idea no? :giggle:

But if it was to cross my path, it would definitely get the autobellissima treatment and photoshoot :D
