Okay guys, this could possibly be one of those epic threads on DX. It's simple, post up your top 5 all-time AUTOart models. Posted Image

1.) 1999 Toyota TS020 GT1

2.) 1998 Toyota Ivan "Ironman" Stewart Trophy Truck

3.) Jeep Grand Wagoneer

4.) 1965 Aston Martin DB5 "Goldfinger"

5.) 1982 Corvette

I just realized that the first four picks could have been done in my sleep but there were about a dozen I could pick as #5. I had some very close honorable mentions. Will be very interesting to see what you guys pick.

Justin

I'm assuming you don't have to own these models right?

In no particular order

1. Mazda 787 - agree completely, an awesome diecast
2. Jaguar XJ13 - top subject, executed very well
3. Lamborghini Reventon - well worth waiting for after Bburugo and Mondo Motors efforts
4. Porsche 917LH - older diecast that has aged gracefully
5. Bugatti Veyron Production -expensive, but well detailed

Honorable mentions from my experience - Toyota TS020, Mercedes CLK GTR, Jaguar XKSS, Porsche 997 GT3 RS

Here are my top 5 in no order:

Toyota 2000GT
Jaguar E Type
1971 Mustang Mach 1
1982 Corvette
Mercedes 600 Pullman

I may have to revise this based on the forthcoming McLaren F1.

Very difficult to pick just five.
It's just not fair I can't afford everything I want.

1. Mercedes 190E 2.5-16V EVO2
2. Bugatti Veyron Geneva '03/GENF
3. Mercedes 300SEL 6.3 in Black
4. BMW 3.0CSi in Dark blue
5. Nissan R35 GTR in Vibrant Red

I know I'm weird, but the 190E is such a solid and well built car, what with all these wonderful details and the GENF Bug is my favorite color scheme and has my favorite wheels. The 300SEL 6.3 is closest to one of my favorite cars, the W108 280SE 4.5, and is a fantastic model. I love the E9 coupe, AUTOart did a good job as well. Of course, the R35 is an engineering triumph in the real world and in AUTOArt's rendition what with the boot/bonnet hinges and the interior.

If the Speed8 wasn't sealed it would be #1. Like the DBR9LM a shame it is sealed.

Jaguar XJ13

Mazda RX-8

Veyron Prototype - Most of the production car at half the price!

Corvette C5-R - Any of them, they all opened and the detail was exceptional at $50

McLaren F1 - A very nicely detailed car and one I will surely never hold in my hands due to the price

The fact the DBR9 is sealed is the only reason it didn't make it into my top 5.
