When London hosted the Olympics, BMW were a major sponsor. As a result, they ended up displaying the Art Cars in an abandoned multistorey car park in East London. Free entry - was brilliant. You NEED to see them in the metal to really appreciate them imvho.

:occasion14:  An awesome location wasn't it?

For me the ones that looked most amazing in the metal were the Stella, the Lichtenstein, the Koons and Sandro Chia's.

I couldn't help but being slightly disappointed by the Warhol. Compared to those above, it didn't blow me away or have the same WOW factor.

It was great yeah, I went along after work. I even liked the Holzer car, it looked great, and I don't even like the V12 LMR! Some of them are terrible though.

I don't care much for the Rauschenberg 635 or the Manrique 730.

Nice one! Everyone hates the step nose when it was revealed but it has kind of grown on me. I have 3 versions of it in my collection!

yup, I am deep into it now Dave, ha!  I can see all my money gone, gone, gone.  : )

I think you said in another unrelated post what a buyers market it is now and boy am I glad.  I'm getting really good deals on the few I've picked up.  Granted they are not the high end brand 12 scale but they are satisfying to me and what appeals.  There are more though I want.  Just gives me time to thin the 18s and to save up the extra for the others.
