Wow, she is beautiful! If AUTOart made one like this I would have bought it. Sadly AUTOart lately makes lazy color choices. Congrats on the custom McLaren.

I have the black one of these. You won't be disappointed :occasion14:

I really hope not. I have been very hesitant about getting this one. I am not a fan of the decals, so I might be removing them and adding Martini decals. Not sure yet, have to see this one and the upcoming RUF.

Yes, Autoart made some weird choices with the MP4-12C , the orange is not a good one, looks kind of brown without light, I dont understand why they didnt make the Papaya Orange or the Volcano Red, the rims are weird too, they should have 2 colors or be atleast grey, they went for dull silver ones. Minichamps did a much better job in terms of colors and rim options, sadly the rest is not good .

This Humvee got delivered to me on this rainy day, when the roads of my city have turned into shallow rivers after prolonged rain which continues to pour even now, and I needed an off-roader badly, because I was afraid of taking my low-slung sedan out to the club for this evening.

Brand - KDW
Scale - 1:18

Posted Image

Note: The model is of higher quality than the Maisto humvee, and have more opening  & moving parts. So :happy

Shrayan, is the H1 wider than the Maisto. The Exoto H1 is almost 2 cm wider than the Maisto.

I don't have a maisto Hummer/ Humvee to compare it with, but I have a Willy's Jeep by Welly, to which you can get an idea about the size -

A little trick I do with CK is as soon as a model I want or might want comes on their site I order it straight away, but opt to pay via PayPal later. That way I have 14 days to pay, but I've locked in the price already - they put the model aside ready waiting for you to pay. Then if another model comes out within that 14 day period I order that as well and just wait for them to send me an updated invoice with one shipping charge for both models.

Nice add Dave! Looking forward to your pics of this :)

Thanks for the tip. I will try it out this time, we'll see if anything comes along in the next week or so. I also added two other Porsche models. Might as well if I am paying a boatload in shipping.

The Maisto H1 in desert camo is 4.25" in width.

Just have measured my Humvee, it is - 11.5cm in width, 25.5cm in length & 9.2cm in height.

The original vehicle dimensions were - 457cm in length, 216 cm in width & 183cm in height (data acquired from Wikipedia)

All those parameters divided by 18 comes to - 12cm in width, 25.38cm in lenth and 10.2cm in height.

So, they have got it almost right it seems, and probably they have used their own mold for this one (suspecting this because engine details are little better than Maisto, but not as per Exoto, and the back door opens with a good strut-mechanism and also the turret opens). Feeling better... :)

Will post a detailed thread on this model shortly.

Beautiful add Dave - good to see that Schuco is making newer cars... and this is a very good step to fill up the lacuna of the good models in sub-200 Euro range.

You aren't the only one, this is really what we used to see from AUTOart regularly 7, 8 years ago. Personally I will wait for a review to see to decide if I'm buying one or not.

I was very surprised Dave, I thought for sure they would have been about €150. I wonder if their Cayman GT4 will be the same price as the 991s? Congrats on the white cabrio one by the way!

If I'm not mistaken Schuco's website shows the Cayman GT4 as being a bit more expensive than the 991s, so don't be surprised if retailers are a bit more expensive as well. That being said ck undercut their prices by a decent amount anyway, so who knows.....
