Sadly, that's not mine, Eddy - just posted it as an example to slarti, and an incorrect one as well since it is not AUTOart as he asked. Sorry, slarti, got carried away with my CSL search; the dumb thing is that I knew it was Minichamps and just forgot what you asked! Thanks for the correction, Johan :occasion14:! But the link to diecast.org I posted DOES list AUTOart CSLs that were released.

Senior moment...

I also lust after the BMW CSL.
As a matter of interest, did AutoArt produce any other versions of the car?
I am thinking of the colourful Jagermeister version, driven at least once during the year by none other than James Hunt!
Perhaps they  would consider an alternative race event for the works cars such as the #12 winner of the Nurburgring touring car 'GP'.
The cars were also run with little or no bodywork changes by private teams in 1974 - including a nice looking blue Gitanes sponsored car.

AUTOart has many variations of the CSL, both street and road. Diecast.org's historical website (which is far from complete, but still a useful starting point for indentifying older models) shows several that you might like:

http://www.diecast.o...acturer=AutoArt

I found this 3.5 CSL on eBay by searching for "1/18 BMW CSL":

Many thanks for the Autoart listing, I keep forgetting to look at this site.
There is a listing for a '1972 racing CSL' on there, even though the winged car didn't appear until mid way through 1973.....
Oh, and I bought one of these green Gosser Beer models on e-bay around 4 years ago. €90 plus shipping.....
I am seriously considering the Hermetitie version when it arrives. Like the green version, it is also a race winner.

I'm about five years late to the McLaren F1 party. I watched all the chat on DX about this upcoming release and that and ignored them because, frankly, I thought the car was ugly. But after I picked up a '97 F1 GTR on the cheap last month, I studied its racing history and was intrigued.

So I was browsing eBay and flagging auctions to watch - you know the routine - when I saw a post that I assumed was the starting price for a TrueScale Miniatures 1/18th McLaren F1 GTR short-tail in Marlboro colors (with separate decals to apply) - $19.99. And then I stopped: $19.99 BUY-IT-NOW...plus FREE SHIPPING from China!?!? Hell, even if I get ripped off, it's worth the risk and the seller has a 97.5% positive rating...

Red that guy has a lot of 19.99 free shipping deals...In about a month from now his feedback will be negative 97... Every once in a while these types of scams pop up on Ebay.

Which is why I made the purchase through PayPal, as always - Devil no dummy :nice:! It's worth the tiny financial risk to see what happens and I'm covered by eBay and PP so I'm not concerned. If it had been much more money, I would've passed as this is nowhere near a Grail for me.

I bought this recently, although I didn't want to take photos until I had added the JPS decals.
(You should take note of the gaps I added either side of the top of the 'J' on the sides for accuracy).
Minichamps did a really nice job on these group A BMW 635 models, the shape is spot on to my eyes.
However - there are issues with some of their releases, because of standardisation.
The rules for group A required 5000 identical cars to be built for homologation, and modifications to the bodywork were not allowed.
This allows Minichamps to churn out a number of mostly accurate replicas.
They have messed up in small areas though. Door mirrors were free, and shapes and brands varied which is not always represented.
The biggest problem with this model is the decals, which are a flat biscuit colour.
They should be a reflective gold foil, such as can be seen on the restored car - which happens to be how it has been represented by Minichamps.
If such an aftermarket decal set appeared, I would apply them over the originals.....
On my model I added a yellow towing eye in the grill under the front bumper (and another at the rear) and an air jack connection behind the C pillar.

You can get your money back though and still get the coin...

Even sold the same kitschy crap before the die cast cars.

Mine were Morgan silver dollars, haven't verified them yet.  Most are worth 20 but the 1893 may be worth -$180 or so.  May be a superstition to not completely rip some one off, but they're raiding uncle's coins.

Pretty sure this is the same person, even ripped off the same listings again. YMMV

Well sounds like you came out pretty good on that deal Kevin... If I'm going to get $180 worth of silver coins for 19.99...I need to order 10 of everything he has for sell.
