Hello!

It's time to present you my last project - that's been completed a while ago.

Some time ago, I saw in an automobile forum this car:

Posted Image

Posted Image

... and I was floored.   :occasion14:

The car was not my style (I dont like tuning cars and matte finish at all) but this bad thing was just to cool...

Long story short: I started to build one of the badest M3 on earth out of a regular melbourne red M3 e92 from Kyosho. It was the first time I made some body work (trunk, frontlid and rear diffusor) on a model, but I had luck and it turned out well!   :giggle:

I think I will present you the building process just as "photostory". If you've got any questions - just ask...

Here we go:

building the front

And finally, after a couple of hours:

Posted Image

Building the diffusor out of a CSL-Diffusor made in resin:

Posted Image

Building the trunk in CSL-Style:

Posted Image

Lowered suspension and wheels:

Posted Image

BMW "Frozen grey" for the body:

Posted Image

And finished:

Darkening the rear lights:

The completed front (without lid)

More pictures will follow soon - if you're interested   :lol:

INTERESTED...Hell yeah I'm interested!  I saw a similar M3 in the flesh once and I'm "interested" to see this one.  By the way, what paint did you use to spray the car?  Details on that too please.

This is looking fantastic so far.  Can't wait to see the final results.  I'm building something similar (see my thread) and may be messaging you on how you went about making the vorsteiner trunk/boot lid.  Keep up the excellent work.

I love the built-in CSL style spolier. So much better than an add on unit.

Hi to all!   :10:

Thank you very much for your kind words! It's very nice to read that the project is on the right way in your opinion.

I've got some new pics for you:

I darkened the rear windows with Tamiya smoke. It didn't turn out well first, I had a lot of work until it looked okay:

Posted Image

I decided to use burnt iron coloured rims on the car (not black ones like the pictures are showing), something like this:

Posted Image

To get a metal-effect I used colours from Mr. Metal that you've got to polish. It's hard to get the effect on pictures, but it turned out very good! The rims are looking like real metal. Here a picture from the progress:

Posted Image

And one finished rim alone:

Posted Image

Then I started with the interieur. This bad M3 needed racingseats, other seatbelts and some other details.

For the seats I used Hotworx Racing seats from the Porsche 996 turbo and detailed them. These are the parts I used:

Posted Image

then started the finishing process:

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

And the finished interieur - with fire extinguisher:

Posted Image

A little bit paint for the engine compartement:

Posted Image

The brakes are red now (need a little bit colour on the overall grey exterieur) and are from Brembo now:

Posted Image

Updates will follow soon, stay tuned!   :tongue4:

Looks like it's coming along..I that Tamiya smoke paint is a pain to use lol. Not a fan of that recaro seat style but I'm definitely looking forward to the finished product. Do you have to modify the wheels to mount onto the E92 chassis? I noticed the fittings are different when I pulled my CSLs off an E46 it wouldn't go on my E92.

Very nice creation that is taking shape. Love the wheel and brake package especially. This would look great beside a Lamborghini Reventon.

Uppps, I totally forgot the updates...   :lol:

But first I'd like to answer your questions:

@hokuan:

Yes, I-m using CSL-whells from Kyosho - made in resin

@Blitz:

Like I wrote, the colour is "frozen grey" from BMW

@m_power:

Yess, I had to modify the wheels, they don't fit on the e92

@ Bliitz & GijsS:

The Mr. Metal colour is easy to use: Just put it on with a brush, its dry in a few seconds and polish it after a few minutes - that's all

@Manuel009:

No, I#m not selling it. And believe me: It would be to expensive, I need to many hours to do the work...  :gaah:

Okay, and here are the pictures:

The M3 is coming together:
Posted Image

Had to take of the wheels again:

For the center of the wheels (printed it on special chromfoil with an inkjet printer)
