Yep. I'm aware of this. It will be updated eventually. Waiting on an update as to the model's current whereabouts.

A quick update: As most of you know, the model was airlifted to the good ol' USA for emergency repairs and then safely returned to Ontario, Canada. I will not count this toward the mileage, but I simply wanted to reflect that portion of the journey here.

The model returned to The Greater Toronto Area, Canada to DX member twenty3. From here, the model traveled approximately 285 miles (460 km) from GTA to Ottawa. This trip took 5 hours and 15 minutes to complete.

Finally, an update! Yea!

The model car made the journey from County Armargh, Northern Ireland by JV97 and arrived in Milford Haven, South West Wales on January 12, 2012! For those of you counting the miles (or kilometers), the trip from County Armagh to Milford (including ferry) is approximately 278.2 miles, and (without ferry travel) takes 6 hours 35min.

So, there ya go! We're officially back on track! Let's make it a goal to keep this thing moving a bit smoother this year than we did last year. :occasion14:

Ah, I see you noticed the travel "gap." Yes, there is a "crow flies" distance and I'm working on it. I'll have something added in eventually. :occasion14:

By road this journey would take about 15hr 48min.

So the Crown Vic is now on its way from porscb in Pistoia south again to model collector in Grosseto - a distance of 136 miles (219km) that should take 2 hours 20min by road..... :wavetowel2:

It seems like the Bulgarian connection has been lost :bawling: , so the Vic will shortly be leaving model collector in Grosseto, Italy and travelling east 823 miles (1324 km) to meet with emmanouil in Thessalonika, Greece - a journey that would optimally take 16hrs 37mins by road (including the ferry). :wavetowel2:

Yep. Like Eddy said, we decided to pack up and call it quits with this event. Perhaps some of the newer members will get a new event like this started in the near future.
