Guys,
I am a new registrant to this website, and came across this thread after I too fell afoul of this thief. I ordered from the mini 911 website a Porsche Museum Die Cast Flat 6 Engine model. Really nice looking engine model. Emails sent and never returned. Useless comments in the PayPal Dispute by someone named Sophie. I have a current claim with PayPal, so I am covered, but the thief Pierre Vandenborre at mini911.com is alive and well and stealing from people like he always does.

Here is a link to the item I was ripped off over: http://us.mini911.co...ap911block.html

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CROOK!

What I do not understand is why PayPal allows these crooks to continually operate, despite the multiple claims they lose? I've been a PayPal Member since 1999, as it is a necessary evil for some of my hobbies.

Honestly, it's not PayPals responsibility to shut down the crooks. It's the responsibility of the authorities to be honest. While I am surprised this hasn't been brought to the authorities quite possibly the european authorities may not take this seriously.

Be happy to get your money back if that does happen - hopefully PayPal will freeze the sellers accounts or something close to that. Sounds like a clear mess to be honest but sadly there are far too many sketchy sellers out there so it's all a gamble.

I have no doubt I will get my money back. The Seller never prevails in a Dispute/Claim if they don't ship you anything and have no proof of delivery.

I am done buying from European Sources. This is the third PayPal Dispute I have had to open in the last 9 months. One for a custom carbon fiber steering wheel I had made in Germany for my 1:1 scale real 911 Turbo that was the wrong style, one for a set of carbon fiber fuse panel covers for the same car from a company in England that sent me an empty box, and this third one for the diecast engine block from mini911 in Belgium.

Honestly, I thought I'd be getting great service from European sources. I only had to file one Dispute in the prior 16 years of PayPal membership before this past 9 months.

Do you Europeans have the same issues with American Sellers?

Mini911 has until June 6 to respond to my claim. I'll get my refund. Without proof of shipment and delivery it is a slam dunk. But in all honesty, I'd rather have the diecast engine. It is so cool!

Yup....seriously. I have no idea why anyone would take them.....they are specific to 2013 and newer Porsche 911 cars. They weren't all that valuable either, about US$360.  That is not inexpensive, but anything for a Porsche costs.

I ended up buying a set of leather wrapped fuse panel covers from a company in California for more money instead af carbon fiber ones.

Couldn't the Guy/Company be reported to Trading Standards ? With all the members on this forum who have been ripped off and possibly other members on other forums who have encounterd Mini911, I'm sure that it would make a worthy case ?
This shouldn't be ignored as it'll just keep going on and more an more people will be scammed by that Ass****!!

I had several bad business lately with American sellers, none of them were a shop though.
1 arrived damaged to louzy packaging > dispute > seller insisted that i ship back (which would cost me even more money in the end) > i cancelled it
1 didn't arrive (wasn't send in the first place i think) > dispute > no response > claim > refund
1 went missing in ebay shipping depot in USA > dispute > claim to GSP > refund

So... If we say Mini911, Mini911 goes up higher than Mini911's Mini911 website?  :nice:
