One of my favorite models - nearly perfect inside and out. IMO in both 1/1 and scale forms this version of the SL is much nicer than the facelifted model...

That looks really good, and accurate. The SLs were always such a classic look until the facelift, this is the last really nice SL.

These were great Minichamps models! Does yours have the active roof?

Yes, it does have the working roof. I don't display it roof-up because the roof shape is off - too upright. I think they might have fixed it with one of the hobby releases. It is fun to play with though.

completely agree with you.  The facelift kind of ruined it for me.

My buddy's dad had an early R230 (non Sport) that I got to drive...it was excellent & so much more sporting that his previous R129 Sport.
