Looks a lot better with the white parts, putting this on my list!

If it's not die-cast, it won't have a crumple zone

Same here, but with this and some nice older grand prix cars, it is very hard to say no. I have only one Alfa, and the reason I have it is because it is a Martini car.

This one would look just outstanding next to the GMP 312s.  Ohhhh, why did I have to say that?...Now I can't get the idea out of my head. No Alfas. No Alfas. No......... :gaah:

I have a feeling those Astons will be hot commodities like the past V8 Vantage.
:agreed:  The first run will sell out quick I think.
I think so too, I've seen a few pre-order prices on ebay for them, I'm debating whether to go for it now, or leave it until they actually come out.

Well, depending on the price I'll get it (motly for the detail, don't much like the shape...) to put next to my GMP Ferrari 312 and the Exoto Chaparral. I have the orange Montreal, and wanted to get the TZ 1 & 2, but they just look so bland and cheap, unlike the superb and cheaper Montreal. Shame that, hopefully AUTOart will also make a race livery version of the TZ2 in the wake of this 33 TT

If it's not die-cast, it won't have a crumple zone

I agree. Looks like a new level of detail for AUTOart. I wonder what the price will be?

Haha I do like it, honest. Just not for the money I paid.
Why I think the alfa's engine looks so good is because it doesn't look plasticy like the zondas, which is supposed to be the pinnacle of what AUTOart can do.
Dint get me wrong, the zonda engine is very detailed. But it doesn't look 'real' like the alfa's engine.

Hmmm, I don't think you want to know the answer to that question. But, if I had to guess, it's going to be comparable (if not more) than the Zonda - so, I'm going to take a shot in the dark and guess that AUTOart will ask $375-$400 for the Alfa.

Which means it will hit eBay for about $150-$200ish give or take.

:gaah:  I don't like it rest of the model enough to pay $400 for it. They should leave off the front and rear covers, and sell it for 99.95.

Hahaha! Too funny.

Like I said, it was just a guess. But, given AUTOart's track record in recent years I wouldn't be surprised if this level of detail demands an even higher price than the Zonda.

Not sure what people might react to this next comment, but AUTOart looks like they stepped up big time. This compares to a CMC or Exoto. Too bad I am ont getting it.

AUTOart's definitely stepping up their game, but they're just not quite in that league yet. They need to lose all of the plastic parts and the cheap body panels, and then fully wire/plumb an engine before they start asking for anything over $300.00 - but that's just my opinion. But I definitely applaud their efforts! They're starting to look like the "old" AUTOart a little with regards to quality.

It looks "shiny" enough. I mean, there is not as much plastic in the Alfa engine bay. I think AUTOart does too much to make it look clean that it looks un-authentic. But, this Alfa is in the right step. The look of the engine is just about right.

Great observation!

And, you're absolutely right about this engine. Very exciting to see what the final product will look like.

I was thinking the same thing....but that blob of glue on the mirror reminded me that it was still AUTOart.

That Alfa is nice, I don't know much about the 1:1 but it would look good next to my GMP Ferrari 312PB.

Looks like the wheels may be removable also? I wonder if AUTOart is going after the Exoto market? Also, note the lack of screw heads everywhere. There are still a few, but nothing like that Zonda... I guess they heard us.

I think I'm going to get that Alfa 33 (well one of the versions any way)  just gotta see the price. As good as it looks I can't see it being up to Exoto or CMC standard.

An arms race sounds like a win but in the end it will just push Exoto and AUTOart further upstream meaning higher prices.
