Did you come to my house and open my Ferrari and take pictures on my kitchen counter? I have the same model and the same (I think) granite counter tops. I have to say, good choices all around

Hahaha....but I bet that your kitchen is at least 4 times larger than mine! :giggle:

USA standard is (or was) big! But yes, this dark granite is awesome. Its on my kitchen table, sink (right? where we wash the dishes) and cupboard (kind of, where I keep some food/dishes).

I recommend you to open yours, if you have where display it of course. Only complain is that the rear engine cover is a little hard to remove, but its ok cause is safer.

Also, the model have a lot os screws to remove and those wire to hold the parts.

I have opened mine and yes, the rear is a pain in the ass. But, I don't know how many times I have had parts just fall right off my models (AUTOart Porsche 917 and 911 RSR). I still have not done any photos, but soon I will

It is a great model. I have four of them (one to go) and actually this yellow one is the last one I got. I see yours suffers from the same issue as mine. The green paint on the front lip got chipped by the stupid wires that hold it in the box. I was thinking fixing mine, but it actually looks like stone chips and I decided to leave it alone.

Haha, did you think of splattering 1/18 flies on it too?

I love it when people take great photos of models I own, saves me having to de-box them!

I love your pictures. I also have this yellow model and the 24-Hours of Lemans version.  I picked up both for $88 with shipping on Amazon earlier this year.  I wanted this yellow one and the Nick Mason version but I couldn't resist the LeMans version when it was only $44.

Very nice.  I think Hot Wheels did a really nice job on these 512's.

This version is dirt cheap on Amazon....hope the recently released Coupes end up there as well.
