So, after some years of collecting models and actually always having luck on my side whereas damages to models during shipping are concerned, my luck finally gave way and today and I received my first damaged model, for me the long awaited Koenigseeg Agera from FrontiArt and unfortunately the rear wing was broken off and has damaged the red striping around the wing struts.

I think it was caused by the foam surrounding the rear of the car being too thick and during transit with the vibrations of the package, this foam put too much stress on the wing until it finally "popped" off.

So what to do, I've contacted the model supplier and hope to get a replacement model, although he already has it listed as out of stock, another alternative then is to simply remove the striping around the struts and just attach the wing back - what do you guys think?

Bit of a difficult one imo, For this sort of money you want a perfect looking model..  but having said that, it wouldn't look bad with the lines removed.

If they can't supply another one, yeah reomove the strips & re glue the wing.

You can try to make red stripes with red alcohol pen?

Well the left one is repairable with softener..
What abbout contact frontiart that they send you stickers?

thanks guys, both of you are right, but that's not a bad idea audirs - did'nt even think about the possibility of contacting FrontiArt for a replacement part, well I'll see what the supplier first has to say, maybe I'm lucky and get a replacement model - so hold thumbs :nice:

I've heard Frontiart has really good customer service. I know a collected received two COMPLETE set of wheels for his MP4-12C when only the one of the rear wheel was damaged. The wheels also came in a nice 1/43 display case. So definitely contact Frontiart for replacement to avoid the hassle of sending the model back etc.

Didn't your LaFerrari also arrive damaged Mikum  . I hope you'll get a replacement, it sucks to get broken stuff in the mail. Just received a Tricolore zonda with broken display case ..... :gaah:

If it's not die-cast, it won't have a crumple zone
