Last week I saw exhaust is down... Hmm.. I thought I will glue it back and everithing is ok.. But today when I was abbout to repair it I found this:

Sorry to hear about the model RS6. I was gonna start collection resin this year and was gonna start with Otto too, but I've read too many horror stories with them to really feel comfortable buying one.

Otto makes some very nice models, a real shame they have a lot of quality-issues.
And that means LOT of issues when i read the comments on DX.

Guess your lucky as I've heard horror stories about resin models from all of the above (only a few but for the money they're asking that's enough). I'm not saying they're crap but sealed, non-steering, dodgy paintwork & assembly issues I'm not risking it. Each to their own & if you have the money spend it as you wish.....I just don't trust resin models lol

Otto: Both my fire and ice were bad.

Sent them back tracked as Joyce said she would swap them.

They got them from me on 31st dec.

I emailed them on 1st jan to say they have the models.

Get an ok, thanks message on 2nd.

Didnt hear from them since so sent them an email asking whats happening? Get a message saying they havnt received my parcel. What a joke. So just sent them tracking information.

Get an apology email on 7th saying they will issue my postal return costs on 7th and send replacements on
8th.

Not received the postal refund.

They are a nightmare to deal with.

Joyce is from otto. Like there complaints and problems dept.

I had to send other cars back in past. Not an easy company to deal with when things go wrong.

I had the same problems with my BMW M3s (light scratches, small chip/crack in paint, etc.). I talked to Joyce about my models and she said she would exchange them. When I told them the amount they would have to reimburse me for postal costs, I was told to keep both models, but two new replacements would be sent right away.

I'll either repaint my flawed models, or sell them for a discount later.

Makes you wonder, each model is limited to 1500/2000 or whatever, and by the sound of it 50% of them are returned/flawed, what happens to them? Are the repaired and resold or recycled? Are new ones made to make up the numbers?

As above.

Somehow I am hooked on otto.

There mk1 golfs for example are much higher standard then any other mk1 golfs available.

There red g60 golf kicks the norev equivalent in the nuts.

I was wondering how they can replace them when their website says 'out of stock' etc, they must keep a load of models back just in case.

There was also talk on here asking if they are actually limited, eg, they could make two of three of a number & send them to different suppliers.

I have never had any big issues with my 10+ OTTOs..
Maybe I am just lucky or something
There is always small paint flawes but nothing that bother me much.. Looks good on display in my cabinets.
But the stance on some cars needs adjusting.    But hey, thats just fun work  :nice:

Sad to hear your bad luck with Otto :(
I have a couple of them and up until now, i only had issues with the Escort (one of the seats was loose and broke off the gear stick + the chassis didn't really fit 100% in the back).
Here's hoping my pre-order of the RS200 will be ok...

Update on mt fire and ice golfs:

Sent me postage refund but sent me 22.03 euro instead of £22.03.

Told them. Again apology received and said they would send correct amount in next few days.

We can make a Registry thread like the we did with AutoArt Signature. I saw one on some French forum and there was a lot of models but numbers didn't repeat
