Well, received Bx today. And it's all mesed up. Paint flaws, scratches, fingertips, and so on...

Just kidding ;D

4TC is just stunning. No one flaw. Absolutely. Will take pics soon ;)
Have a nice day :]

I got my first Otto and resin model- the E36 M3 GT. Its flawless. I was dreading all the talk about busted models and bad QC from OTTO. But again, my model came from CK Germany.
I am very impressed by Otto, the paint finish on the car is some of the best I have seen. I am not sure if I'll be willing to pay more than 50-60 Euros for a resin model though. Considering nothing opens, thats my absolute upper limit for a resin. I wish it opened though, it looks so bloody good!

i had a email back from them yesterday saying that they will not pay for me to send the models back recorded, signed for etc
their models do look brilliant, untill you shake them or look closely lol

my friend has a selection of their models, and every one he has had from them (buying through ebay) has been prefect

and once again:

Maybe send them back signed for anyway & ask them for the amount they usually give back for returns from the UK ? It'll mean you're of pocket by a few quid, but I can't see any other way of doing it.

nope, the only contact i have managed to get from otto was that they would not be willing to pay for me to return them tracked, and i dont like taking risks, also money is now tight as im buying a second fiesta mk1 so to be without the money to send them back recorded would affect me more now. i think my only option is to keep one and attack the other with my dremmel or sell as damaged models then buy a couple more at a later date

If I were you, I would negotiate with them. Just because they said no, doesn't mean that they are unwilling. If your dealings with one customer rep are going nowhere, ask to speak to their superiors. Mention that you are making your fellow collectors aware of your unpleasant experience, etc. Look into bringing PayPal into the situation. There may be other ways to deal with them, but this is how  would personally deal with the situation. I negotiated with them once, and got another model for free.

Bottom line is, you didn't get what you paid for.

You hit the nail on the head. I'm a bit disappointed in OTTO based upon how they've handled this. What a crock!

I'm genuinely sorry that things haven't been resolved appropriately. :lamende:

sometimes companies try to just ignore customers in the hopes that nothing bad will come from it. that might have works 20 years ago, in with the tech and info in this modern world, that just won't happen.
