In my opinion 21-34 should be divided in 21-26 and 27-34 or something close to this.

That would be cool, but I don't know if most people here would be willing to do that. I spend so much time on DX talking to you guys that it would be fun to have a face to go with the name :occasion14:

I was thinking that as well, but I just used the traditional age brackets the American Marketing Association uses.

Almost a total sausage fest.

There is another long running thread like this somewhere.

Reason why 1:43 scale cars aren't that popular because most people including me(sorry it I offend) consider them toys and not Collectable model cars. .

Should you collect 1:43?

In my opinion, no if you can afford 1:18 models. First of all, most people will think of them as toys, while 1:18 models can look as something classy if you have a few.

Hey hey, I thought old dogs like me would be in the majority, but no it's the youngsters! Good job. I was afraid this was another dying hobby.

I think it is one of those seasonal kind of things. It rises, stays with a generation, kind of dies out the next generation, and then comes back.

A focused or planned collection can tell a story, while a random collection talks mostly about the collector. Neither is better than the other, it's personal choice - Woobs

I'll be 29 soon. I'm still in school though. Hopefully finishing up next year, getting a proper job and blowing my entire salary on models.

Not kidding.

^^ Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders TSMFAN. lol Be sure to get all your models you can before marriage; I heard most wives can be a real drag with new acquisitions lol.

I just turned 36 a few days ago.  After a few years in IT as an admin, I finally said enough is enough and had to have a change in scenery before my emotional wellbeing deteriorated to an unrecoverable blackhole.  I almost finished getting my EMT license (need to take nat'l reg exam) and after 2 - 3 years will be attending physician assisting school.  And yes, I've mainly stopped acquiring new models (especially +300 AUTOart Huayras lol) but I'm picking up a few pieces here & there on DX classifieds to help keep my sanity at optimum levels. haha
