so i had these just laying around for a while and now they finally are coming to something interesting.
printed rims perhaps?
the goal for model one
this is how model number two should become
both of these cars are built by rs start and are perhaps the most beatifull machines ever in my eyes
teaser shot of model number one
enough work under the hood i still have to do
started on the wide arches and the front air dam yesterday night.
however now i am wondering what colour to go for
as for the wheels they will probably be a set of the sakura`s i am printing atm(wheels on the white zed)
through this link you can see and even order my 15 inch rims for 1:18 cars so far i have two designs https://www.shapeways.com/search?q=rbdmotive
they can be printed in any material and the cheapest ones are about 4 dollars each
this is an external printing service all i did was just upload my model in their library and so can you!
the sakura style wil be fitted under the zg
i could help you with that
the google sketchup library has loads of good models wich can be converted to a printable format however it does change the surface a bit beacause of the way sketchup files are compared to stl or inventor files
my latest project ia a good example of wich(downloaded the base car) in sketchup in stl for printing
it`s a kyosho i bought cheaply cause it had bubbling paint.
this is how it`s going today
narrowed down the kenmeri front splitter to make a rear wing in placeeven old rusty showed up to check on the new fairlady
Man that paint job and color combo is great, really coming along nicely
