Glad to hear you have one on the way Ryan. Hopefully this one is flawless. It does sound like you are dealing with a really good seller, which is a rarity in our days.

Well, I had my second sang noir delivered today. And guess what? It's got the exact same problem as the last one had. The drivers side wheel is inverting as shown in this pic.

That's it now.. AUTOart can go fu*k themselves, I pay nearly 200 for a model and I have 2 that have the exact same defect.
What the hell is going on??
I honestly getting annoyed with this hobby. Things like this are just pissing me off more and more.

Holy Crap!

I hope one of these clowns is reading this. I am sending this thread to AUTOart. This is a freaking shame!

I think what's making it worse is putting it next to my bleu centenaire, which all 4 wheels are perfect.

It's not half as bad as the old one, but it's still there. I'll have a good looks at it tonight and I'll decide then wether to keep it or not.

If you send this thread to AUTOart, I doubt they will do anything with me saying they can "go f**k themselves" on my last post lol

Ha. Maybe some AUTOart feelings will be hurt. Too sad, so bad.

I won't send anything. Maybe you should write them a nice message and see what they will say.

It would not be a pretty email if I sent it... haha...

Mine wouldn't be too nice either, mate lol. Things like that I end up going on a rant, haha.

They will only tell me to sort it out with whoever I bought it from.
Well that's if they even replied

Yeah. Poor seller gets stuck twice. I mean I guess he really tried what he could.
Sorry to read this, pal. This sucks.

I'll just have to display it with the bad side facing the wall, lol. It'll be ok I think, it's not as bad as I first thought.

The joys of collecting, aye :) haha

Just accidentally posted this to Craigs "Selling Rubbish Thread"...

I must point out, I just got a Maisto Hemi Challenger in deep luster black (better paint than all of my $100.00 models combined) and that model came out of the box just about as flawless as I would have expected from one of the expensive model. I am not kidding. It is F.L.A.W.L.E.S.S.  - What a shame.

We walked out of Sams with 4 Maisto's tonight (Audi R8 Red, Challenger, Camaro Yellow and some Mercedesfor my girl who is secretly lurking on this forum and wants to do a modification project now) and all four of them impress more than the $100+ Audi A8L W12 I just bought. 9 x ~ 100 dollar models inbound at this point and after reading this thread, I am glad not one of them is a AUTOart. Damn shame! Maybe I wasn't so wrong about the QC Inspector, earlier.

I just looked up pics of the Maisto R8. I really want one now. :drool5:

It's shocking that these models can be had for so little money.

I just got my Sang Noir Veyron today. It doesn't have the issues mentioned above, but the EB logo on the back is already unglued at one corner. There was no protective film over the logo for some reason. The magnifying glass/door opener tool is also missing.
Same here my SS arrived the same way,no damage but no door opener tool thank god I have 3 already
I've got a couple myself, but I don't have the AutoArt ones. Was their a clear film on your EB logo? I was surprised that mine didn't have one. It came from a sealed box too.
No protective film on the EB badge but it doesn't appear to be damaged in any way. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones

A lot of folks are quick to disregard "budget" models as mere toys, but almost every Maisto/Bburago offering is exceptional value for the money. Some of my favorite 1:18 models have been Maistos and Bburagos. :twocents:

I bought budget models a few years back when most of them were still pretty crude. Nowadays though, it seems that both the subject matter and the quality have improved. I'm going to head to Costco one day and probably get around 5 of them. They look great, and I don't worry when someone knocks one off my desk.

Exactly! And, if one does accidentally take the plunge, you can always acquire another one for a reasonable price. I used to enjoy the high-end, limited edition models... but, after a while it just seemed a bit ridiculous throwing money away on a $300 (or more) "shelf warmer."

I always felt like I could enjoy my budget models a great deal more simply because I could take them down off the shelf, handle them, and not have to worry about breaking something. :occasion14:

I waxed mine up this evening and must say its a nicely done model. Lots of unexpected detail. LMK if interested, it won't stay here for too long.
Thought I'd abuse it for some mods, but that ain't happening. The model is too nice to screw with it. I usually hate red cars and this one is lovely.

Photoshoot planned for tomorrow.

My 70939 Super Sport came with an inverted left wheel just like yours yesterday. The wheels also do not turn even if you try to force them without breaking them. Should I send mine back?
