Have never thrown a box away but I have bought a few cars without boxes..
Makes it so hard to store them without.
Antennas, mirrors and decals lives a dangerous life during storage/moving without boxes.

I keep all my model boxes in 6 bicycle boxes...

Long and narrow holds about 30 model boxes each box, and doesn't take up much room...

Also when your moving house people think that you have stolen a load of bicycles when you haven't!!

The 1/18 boxes have becoming bit of an issue for me now. Whatever boxes that can be flatten and folded has already been taken care of however i am still left with 50++ styrofoam styled boxes. I figured out a way to make moving them easier and that is to bundle them up and shrink wrap them! This also helps to keep the boxe clean and minimise damage (to some extent) when being stored under my work table etc.

That's a neat idea. Top effort there!

I always keep the boxes. The models are worth more with it. Sometimes boxes are worth even more than the model.

I haven't thrown away any boxes.  I have one car I bought without a box, and another that was missing a base and the plastic window to the box, so I was a bit more cautious when I moved recently.
