Love these old Lane Mold Old's and Acme does a solid job at reproducing them; also it is very cool to see them use a lane model from a different year other than 1970. This '71 SX looks really nice and good value.

I have three of the Dodge Rampers on order right now.

Anyone want to guess why three?

Can I give you a hint?

Two to modify, but you get the point.

I'm assuming this 512M is a re-issue (possibly from a different manufacturer).
For something claiming to be a Masterpiece costing €400 they should have done something about the ride height.
There should be no visible gap at the front between the top of the tyres and the wheelarch, and the rear doesn't look right either.
I have a Hotwheels 512S with the same issues, which cost me less than a €100.
At that price I would overlook the faults on this GMP effort.
If it represented a car at the rough Sebring circuit it would probably be closer to the real thing.
Other than that a decent effort.....

To me the whole thing looks somehow weird.
Nonly the ride height is wrong:
Don‘t know the exact reason but IMO the appearance of this model does not all reflect the real thing.
Just look at historical pictures of the mighty 512S and then compare to the model. It should appear much more flat and aggressive.
Maybe the driver’s cabin is a bit too high? Maybe there is some mismatch between the wheels and the arches? :dizzy:

It‘s a pity: I really love the 512S and I was looking forward when GMP announced the release of a high end diecast model of the 512S.
But I can‘t enjoy what I see and definitely I don’t feel tempted to invest 400 Euros...

You're right, the whole body looks wrong, caused by the cabin being too tall.
That leaves the expensive sealed resin Tecnomodel, the even more expensive Rare-models or the low cost CMR.

It looks so shit!!! €400 for a car that looks like it costs around €100 Plastic windscreen wiper, plastic wheels that don't even look like they made of anything else, and other plastic bits, a shape that's off and a rear section with a completely shit fit. Wow!! Just Wow!!!

F**k you Photobucket.

The HWE model looks better, mostly because they good the stance and overall look right. This may have better details, but if it doesn't look right, it's no good. No Good. For that insane price, I want CMC levels of details and accuracy. This does not have it.

Looking at it more, the center side skirt rides up too high. The Sunoco car looks a ton better.

If you recall GMP also had issues with the earlier 412P in regards to ride height. Being a huge fan of the 512, I have a Looksmart, Tecnomodel and the Sunuco GMP, and would say from pictures the best value for money in appearence alone would have to be CMRs efforts
