I'm guessing those wheels are new, and that you couldn't see through the originals.

Brake by wire. You get a long wire and when you want to stop you shove it through the wheel until it wraps around it and jams LOL. :giggle: :Jka: :yahoo:

Guys,

I wonder how many 1:18 GMP Masterpiece Collection models there are.
I guess the following:

- Ferrari 330 P4
- Ferrari 412P
- Ferrari 312PB
- Ferrari 512M
- Ferrari 512S
- Chevrolet Corvette fastback 1965
- Chevrolet Corvette convertible

Any other model? Thanks
Feel free to have a look of my collection on DX.

FF, they're not GMP anymore, they're now Acme Trading Company (though obviously the earlier ones were released under the GMP banner before it went el foldo in 2011 and were bought by Acme in 2014. The  current GMP company only makes accessories and American muscle cars).

Otherwise you have it right in 1/18th (though there are multiple variations of each of the car models listed) except that there are no Chevies.

Interestingly, the Acme website lists the GMP/Acme 1/12th models in the Masterpiece Collection (1:12 Vintage Road Racing sub-category):

Ford GT40 Mk.II (1966 Le Mans #1 and #2)
Ford GT40 Mk. IV (1967 Le Mans #1)
Ford GT40 Mk. I (1968 Le Mans #9, 1969 Sebring #22, 1969 Le Mans #6)

NOT listed are other GMP 1/12th releases, including three other Mk. IVs (#1 - Sebring because it's yellow? - 2 and 3) and the 1964 Targa Florio Shelby Cobra Roadster (#146).

This may be some revisionist history but I can't confirm it either way since I've only been able to see a few of the boxes - with only a couple from the list of GT40s that actually say "Masterpiece Collection" - which could be re-releases by Acme because I've seen them with GMP labeling and NO Masterpiece Collection markings:

Thanks for the information!
I'm aware that GMP stopped in around 2010. Out of my 1:18 list, only 512M and 512S are under ACME I think, but they still call it the Masterpiece Collection.

Regarding Corvette, I think it's in the Masterpiece Collection. BTW, what a gorgeous model, so much better than the AUTOart one.

Regarding 1:12 yes I'm aware that there a few, since I only collect 1:18, I limited to the 1:18 Masterpiece Collection models.

Thanks for the update, ff - I've never seen the '65 Corvette C2 before checking eBay last night for my previous post here, although I've been on the GMP/Acme mailing list for many years. That likely was due to my blinders to anything not pure racing, as I've seen the numerous GMP 1/12th C5 and C5-R Vettes many times (none of which carry the same Masterpiece labeling).

But I had to look deep into an eBay auction of the '65 Vette just now to find the Masterpiece Collection label so I stand corrected :occasion14: :occasion14: :occasion14: :occasion14:!
