Good news! This seller right here actually accepted my offer of $160, I made an offer of $150 first but he declined it.

Here's white:

And red:
281305828140
Made him the same offer on the red one yesterday, also accepted ... now the waiting game is on...lol, will take a while to arrive from China, and I'll probably be hit with custom taxes again ... but it isn't available in Europe so I'm expecting to pay for it.
I actually prefer the optional OZ wheels of the red one ... people are strange right, most of you like the standard, steel wheels ... I like the optional alloys ... lol.

It has been a while since I bought the model from him, still the given tracking number doesn't work and still don't have my model. Hopefully everything ends well in my transaction and also yours

Same here ... contacted this seller twice in the last week to get a tracking number so I could see if it reached customs ... no response ... if I don't hear anything from him next week I'm opening a claim in Paypal, I'm not taking any chances with money like this, he should at least have the decency to react.

Don't worry about the recomendation Diego ... the feedback looked good, didn't seem like a scam ... but if no news soon it will turn out to be a scam unfortunately, I paid on April 24th, so I'm giving it another week before opening a case with paypal ... this would be my first ebay deal going bad, damn.

I'm glad you received it. Can you share some pics? I don't get tired of seeing pictures lol. It's very sad that I'm having such troubles with the seller, can't believe he just won't answer

I do hope so ... could take up to six weeks from China to Belgium ... I'm not waiting that long to file a case with Paypal, but I'm giving him some more time ... until the end of next week ... lol.

I really, really would like to get this model, would look great next to my red Countach ... they are from the same era.

I will try to take some pictures this weekend for you guys - mine is red.
Interesting observation - mine does not have a number on the base - it just says /99

Ooooh ... that's the prototype car ... 00/99 :giggle:
Just glad to hear it does actually exist and gets shipped ... I ordered the red one too as it is the only one with the optional OZ wheels, unlike many I actually prefer these on the LM002.

Low and behold ... I just received a tracking number ... doesn't work either (seller mentions DHL as shipping, somehow I doubt that) ... but there is movement at least, no message, but a tracking number ... lol.

If he does work with DHL he receives tracking numbers when he registers a package ... at that point it hasn't been dropped off or picked up by DHL yet, that could explain why they aren't working yet I guess.

Still strange way of doing business I feel ... hope we still receive our models in the end, but it isn't a positive experience for me unfortunately.

Are you sitting down ?

I just had a massive yellow/orange DHL van come up my driveway ... to deliver this elusive LM002 model!

Seems like this seller is legit after all, the package arrived from Hong Kong ? (thought he was in China) by DHL and the tracking number I got was on the parcel as a reference, still it doesn't work online as I just checked it this morning ?!?!

Package was very well packed and protected, model was inside with additional straps and protection including bubble wrap and newspaper.
The LM002 comes inside a nice black box with sleeve (I seem to remember there was a display case with it, but that's not the case on mine) and guess what ... it also shows 'limited edition /99' ... so no number.

I asked for extra protection for shipping to Belgium (long way from China) so this might be my own 'problem', but because the seller made sure the model couldn't move inside it's box he 'crushed' the antenna on the roof ... it stays flush with the roof instead of being at an angle ... I'm not going to complain about this, I'll fix it. One of the side windows came loose in the lower corner ... but it snapped right back in place, so no worries there either.

One more thing ... the exterior rear view mirrors come separate inside a little plastic bag, don't panic. (Haven't mounted them yet, so I might panic then :giggle: )

First impressions ... this is a heavy model and it looks amazing, paint finish is very nice and high gloss.

great to hear it finally arrived :occasion14:  I too was surprised with the weight of the model ... and the paint is very nicely done.
Very happy I decided to give this model a go.

The Paypal claim is escalated and everything and the seller now gave a third tracking number in the claim information, and surprise, this one works. What a joke of seller! I bought this 37 days ago and now he gives a working tracking number which says he posted the package just 3 days ago, and I bet he only posted it because I escalated the claim, and still of course, he never replied my messages and emails. Even if I receive a perfect model, he's getting a huge negative feedback

The TRL models rep said there would be a 246 piece run of the Rally (Paris-Dakar?) LM002 variant. Don't collect sealed models but I will make an exception for this.

So for the ones who knew about the seller and case; after two months (literally) finally yesterday I received the model. It arrived super safe but it wasn't sent with DHL at all. The model is very well made for a $190 resin. Go for it if you want it and have the money. I would try another seller, but that's up to you.

UPDATE: So I left a negative feedback to the seller and immediately he sent me a message saying I'm a liar who gives bad reviews, that he should not take my orders and that he will contact eBay about it... :giggle:
