Ouch, B-bodies too expensive. Hopefully the Nova's have opening hood and doors...

Also curious why they switched to a 67' Camaro Streetfighter? The Fairlane is my only interest on this list.

Good question. I would think that it is a convertible. As the coupes they only made the four-eyed earlier ones or the later ones, the tooling would have the police package on it. The hatch was either a GT or a Cobra as they never made this year LX as a stock car, but a street heat. But whichever it is, it will be welcomed.

from my research it looks like you are right. im a little disappointed in having the vert, but im sure that hatches and coupes will be out eventually. i am looking forward to the FBI car though

FOund this letter from Tom Long over at the Pub earliar today, I found it interesting and thought I would share it here.

Hi all...this is Tom Long, founder of GMP.  Needless to say we are all very excited to see many of the GMP molds back in production.  What has happened over the last five years would make an interesting novel.  Believe me, to see us back is the result of answered prayers.

I am not a forum regular so I found many comments interesting...some expected and some a surprise. Regarding comments about pricing, I wish we could somehow explain all that goes on behind the scenes in this business especially the changes in the manufacturing environment. Just to mention a few, the number of factories capable of producing replicas with the high part count typical of GMP models has diminished by 50% reducing the competitive nature for the surviving factories.  Next, all costs have roughly doubled including raw materials to the factories followed by sample, decoration, and assembly costs to us.  Then add the increase to ship the product both land and ocean and suddenly the unit cost we once had just five years ago has increased two fold. Another component that affects our costs is the variable timing of deliveries.  The success of any business relies on positive cash flow and when product is not on hand, cash flow stops.  This means that ongoing overhead needs to come from whatever margins you build in to you product pricing...I know, this is Business 101 but may be things of which the general population is not aware.

Now the real challenge...as collectors ourselves living in this economic environment like everyone else, how do we keep MSRP as reasonable as possible yet make enough money to stay in business?  GMP has always tried first to strike this balance as best we can and hopefully most collectors will agree that the value for our products has always been in line.  Well, that commitment has not changed.  What you see in today's pricing reflects smaller rather than larger margins in hopes of maintaining best value for the dollar.  It seems that the prices we just announced while understandably higher than three to five years ago, we remain competitive with other manufacturers of models with less detail and higher production numbers...so, we are maintaining that value we know you collectors appreciate?

So, now that we have that behind us, let's just revile in the joy of getting these land mark replicas back on your shelves!

We appreciate your years of support!

Sincerely,
Tom

I wouldn't mine a convertible as long as it came with either a retractable roof or separate top

Just seen the prices and when they expected to arrive in Europe..
For example
The RR december 2014 $224
The 67 Streetfighter januari 2015 $182

Oef... Tell me guys would you pay that money? I need guidance
How limited are they going to be?

I still will try to get them, but I won't be collecting them. Maybe I wait for a RR streetfighter..

I'm looking forward to the 1993 Mustang, but if I'm being honest, I'm a little underwhelmed by the list.  The Roadrunner looks nice, however, I would prefer one with Magnum or Rallye wheels as I am not a big fan of dog dishes.  I'd also like to see one with the bucket seats and upgraded interior and maybe a 383 engine since not every Roadrunner had a Hemi or a 440-6 under the hood.  Also, I really wanted to see a 1970-71 GTO and/or a 1965-67 Corvette.  Maybe someday?
