What choices are out there for the 1:18 garage lift?

Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

To my knowledge there are two types of 1/18 lifts, the 2-post lifts and 4-post lifts.

GMP made both, very good quality, you could put any of them at any desired height. Most are blue but there are black versions of the 2-post. They go for a lot of money these days.

TSM sells the 2-post lift only and it has a fixed height, overall it is much lower quality than GMP's lift. It comes in blue and in red. Costs $40~$50.

Greenlight produces the 4-post lift which seems to be the same mold as the GMP one and at a very affordable price. Comes in several color combinations, including blue like the GMP. Costs $40~$50.

I would recommend the GMP ones, but as they are really expensive now you should go for the Greenlight 4-post and maybe wait for a re-issue of the GMP 2-post as the brand has been revived.

"If you have the money to buy an AUTOart, why don't you buy an Exoto?"

Wanted alive, reward on delivery:

Exoto Alfetta 159M #22
AUTOart Ford Mustang 1968 Bullitt
AUTOart Nissan GTR R35 silver with optional matte black wheels (code #77391)
Kyosho Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupé blue

There are 2-post and 4-post lifts made by GMP and re-released by Greenlight collectibles. Do a search on here and you will find many threads/pictures of them.

I made one myself :)) Granted it's not *quite* realistic, but it gets the job done, lol

:10: I love it! I've been thinking of making that sort of things for some time now as my job involves LEGO... Gotta start with LDD. :yahoo:

The Greenlight is great, and cheap. Plus, they came out with more color options. GMP is the best choice, but they can get expensive.

I have two 2-post GMPs and 2 4-post Greenlights. I am very happy with both.

T1000 that is a wicked lift!!

I found those 4 posts one locally for $50 CDN tax in, which is a good price I guess.

I wanted a Snap-On lift, but I can't justify spending $100 on that...

GMP 2 post is definitely great quality, snap-on one felt a little flimsy relatively.

Heard good things about the greenlight 4 post as mentioned too

Good to hear! The Snap-on is a lot nicer though, I'll give it that.

I bought 3 lifts from Greenlight and I have to say they are good quality and sturdy! Plus it's extra storage for cars....top & bottom!

....oh and for only $25 each on sale. Not bad!
