I fully agree, Mike - these would be great as diecasts in CMC quality!!
Now that CMC has chosen to model a Jaguar we might be allowed to hope that other Jags will follow...

By the way: I would also wish to see a Jaguar saloon/sedan from CMC: MK1 or MK2 would be my favorites.

In ma post i forgot to quote in my CMC dreams :  .
1) A civil Ferrari SWB en gris metal with burgundy red  seat and in a same color  a Ferrari 275 GTB4 equiped with campagnolos rims. (And not just in rays like  BBR does )
and the jaguar E série 1.
2)A Ferrari swb competion in yellow , as we see in almost all publications.
3) The Maserati A6GC and A6GCS.
Exept for these dreams it would be desirable for CMC to return to the spare parts service that was recently abandoned.
A 450 euros and more the mini , the Customer is entiled to have this requirement

That would be sweet! The Kyosho version is not up to the task.

Yes, MK1 or MK2 would be great!  I'm with you on the Alpine A110 too, I've wanted to get an A110 into my collection for a while now but can't decide between the Kyosho or the Otto...CMC making one would answer that.

I'm also deciding on which color Atlantic to get to go with my Corsica...leaning towards the black one but I hope that they come back and make this light blue one (chassis 57374) that Minichamps made in resin.

I too would like CMC to have a go at some of the very early Jaguars. In particular the SS100 and the Mark 5 Saloon. Bburagos version of the SS100 is very cheap and out of scale (more like 1/17 than 1/18) while the Mark 5 has been totally overlooked in 1/18?

We definitely need a Cisitalia 202 in 1:18 from someone! It's an iconic car and a piece of automotive art (one is on permanent display in NYC's Museum of Modern Art). I recall there being a resin version, but it was an old effort, not particularly well made and very expensive. If CMC won't do it, some like BoS or even Cult Scale could probably make a good effort.

On another tact - I'm always surprised that CMC hasn't made:

1) a 1934 Mercedes W25 AVUS streamliner with the closed cockpit. It would only require some very small changes to the rear body section and and a pivoting cockpit cover - no change to the wheels, chassis, engine, etc
2) 1939 W163 GP car (essentially a W154 with slightly different body work, similar to the shape of the W165. Again, all it would take is basically a change to the nose and exhaust pipes - no changes to the engine, chassis, wheels or interior.
3) an Auto Union Type B or Type A. The Type A basically needs a different body than the Type C; all the rest is the same.

CMC was willing to modify the 300SL's to make the 1952 Bern GP versions, so why not modify a W125 and a W154 to the streamliner and W163 versions, respectively?

Yes Sir!! :agreed:
MB had so many terrifically good looking streamliner record cars in the 30s (W25, W125, W154 & W163) - CMC simply has to bring at least one these eye-catching beauties!
By the way: The Auto Union streamliners don‘t need to hide behind the Mercs...

I've contacted CMC recently with a long-ish email to ask about the: Ferrari 250 GTO model livery - chassis 3445 GT

I emailed them a month ago and no reply has been forthcoming so I don't have any hopes of them doing any further 250 GTOs, and I also don't think they read this forum but I think it would be nice to get feedback from fellow-collectors to see if there are others equally keen on the spectacular blue and gold livery as I am.

Copying below the main body of my request to CMC:

Quote

I don't know if you are considering any more 250 GTO releases, but if you are I would request that you kindly place the chassis 3445 GT in Swedish colors at the top of possible liveries. If you look at all the liveries at http://ferrarism.com...spotters-guide/ I believe this blue with yellow striping is by far the best looking.

Posted Image  Posted Image

You can find more photos of the car at https://www.ultimate...GTO-3445GT.html,  http://www.sportscar...ored-classiche/ and https://www.autogesp...ident-in-france. The paint on this car looks stunning and I am sure if you were replicate it accurately the resulting model would be extremely beautiful and popular. I certainly would buy it in a heartbeat!

You can also refer to this video for a high-definition look at how the car looks these days:

https://www.youtube....h?v=cg60hBPHl0Q

Other liveries I think would look fantastic rendered as your 250 GTO model:

I know CMC are bringing out the Ferrari 275 GTB/C and Jaguar C-Type, so I assume they are not going to focus on the 250 GTO which they've already done in 4 street and 3 race versions. But nonetheless the fact that they have the tooling for such a detailed model should perhaps mean they do releases in the future, in which case I reeeaally hope they do the #112 which looks just damn spectacular in the Swedish colors. I know BBR have done this already (http://www.bbrmodels...d-200-pcs-.aspx) but of course there is no comparison between a sealed resin model and one of CMC's fully opening masterpieces!

Once they finish making the 275 GTB/C (whenever that will be), I would really like to see them make the following:

Ferrari 250 SWB Berlinetta in this exact spec, I believe the exterior colour is Rosso Corbora.

Ferrari 275/C Speciale in this exact spec, which sold for US$26.4mn at an auction back in 2014.

If they really don't need to pay any license fee to the 1:1 brand if the model is old enough, then the most profitable model would be a Ferrari, any 60s Ferrari model will sell like hot cake.

I was told that their DB4 zagato, Talbot, and the type C are sold less than their Ferrari models.

I think as any other manufacturer, they should maximize their profit.
Feel free to have a look of my collection on DX.

I would really like to see CMC make some pre-war MB or AU streamliner record cars like W25, W125, W154 or Type D.
And a Duesenberg SJ Mormon Meteor Speedster too.
