as long as you have insurance covered the whole amount then you don't need sig confirmation? Or should I buy both to be safe? My thoughts is even if I have insured the item without signature confirmation, it can be lost if the carrier left it outside the buyer's front door lets say. With signature confirmation maybe it can save me the hassle of filing a lost claim since it requires someone to be home to sign for the package.

Honestly, signature confirmation is a huge PITA. I'm usually not home when the letter carrier comes around, so I end up having to go to the Post Office to pick packages up. The nearest post office is 10-15 minutes away, and it ends up being a 30 minute ordeal to pick a package up. My rule is that I only use signature confirmation on items over $250.

100% agree!

Also, you could contact the buyer and ask their personal preference.

Thanks guys I appreciate your comments. I agree too with the idea of not having to come home and find a pink notice on your door and then the buyer might have to wait til the next day or have to go pick up the package.

I'm gonna ask the buyer for their preference. Good idea! Thanks!
