Hey guys, I have this S500 by Maisto. I really like this mold simply because I can think of many great mods to do on it. One thing I really hate about it is the no headliner in the interior. I just wanted to ask what materials I could use to add a headliner. I never modded a model before so I could really use the help. Thanks

You could use self adhesive flocked paper or velour - like they use for dolls house carpets.... :twocents:

I think Elmers glue would work.

That's a great project.  I'd love to see more photos when you complete it.  I should try to track one of these down because I would like to have every S-Class generation in my collection eventually.  As much as I love sports cars, if cost were no object, this would be the one car I would want the most.  It is simply THE car in my opinion!  :drool5:

I agree Matt, I just can't believe that Maisto got the exclusive on it :gaah:  Other makes would have made a much nicer model imo :twocents:

F**k you Photobucket.

You can try cut and glue a styrene sheet onto the roof to level the unevenness. Then, use for example an adhesive bandage for the texture. Something like this:

Hope this helps! :nice:

That's a great idea!  I am so anxious to see how this turns out since collecting every S-Class generation is a high priority for me!
