Been out for few months now. Plain red, blue and yellow.
They will release proper #1 version this summer.
If I cant get hold of Exoto I will go for this one.

I have looked one of these over and I can vouch for it as being a VERY GOOD budget racer. It will look great on any shelf with Exotos or CMC's :yahoo:

This 60's lemans GT racer had always a weak spot in my mind to have.
So instead going for exoto i think i will add this one over time.

I have a Mk1 by Shelby Collectibles. Despite being not a real FORD GT40,
but rather a model of a GT40 replica (f.e. stick shift in incorrect place), i really love it.
Great in detail, and an excellent model for the buck!

Is the MkIV modelled after a real GT40?

It looks like a nicely detailed model, but it's not accurate to the real car - or certainly not the one that won Le Mans in '67.  There should be a hump in the roof of the drivers' door, and on the 1:1 the spoiler goes straight across at the back rather than being higher in the centre.  It's impossible to tell from the race car's photo here, but if they're the same then the one without the race number has the wrong colour of knock-offs on the right side wheels; they should be red on the left, but blue on the right.  The nose seems to sit too low as well; it should be higher than the line of the sills.  There's a review of the Exoto one here:
http://www.diecastxc...le-mans-winner/

It was tempting on first glance, especially as a nice-looking budget model, but those mistakes would bother me too much.  I don't understand why Shelby Collectibles keep screwing up like this, their '59 LM-winning Aston Martin was wrong too.
