Black Otto 750iL. Can't believe I missed out on it a few years back for $150 CAD. And in the aircraft deparment, both CF-18 releases from Franklin Mint in grey operational colours

I've scratched it off now! :yahoo:  Last week I went to the Post Office and paid the duties on it so I could get my hands on it. It's still sealed in plastic and has never been out. I doesn't get any better! :yahoo:

F**k you Photobucket.

I just recently missed out on acquiring my holy grail just last week after trying to get it for years. Kyosho Lamborghini Miura in gold. I passed on it 8 years ago and have regretted it everyday since.

Was perusing through eBay and saw it and my heart skipped a beat. Put it in my cart, got distracted and forgot about it. Got an email from eBay the next day to remind me something was still in my cart and then I logged into finish the transaction it was gone. The seller sold it on another platform within 6 hours.  :duh: :gaah:

My holy grail? Would be either a 1/24 or 1/18 scale model of a 1932 Duesenberg SJ D-C Phaeton
In the Maroon&Red livery’.

Not really a 'grail' but I've had a long standing eBay search for the no 67 Daytona winning Porsche 962.

I love the look of this 962 because it's one of the more heavily modified ones.

A slightly damaged one came up on eBay a couple of days ago and I hovered over the bid button for the last 5 minutes, but it went for more than I was prepared to pay.

Doing a search to get an image I see it's relisted (Actually on second thoughts I think it's a similarly damaged one, but not the same one).

Cheers.

M

For me it's the Hot Wheels Elite Ferrari 458 Italia in Red/Rosso Corsa. I have only seen a couple on eBay and they all go for more or around £200, which I cannot justify.. Maybe one day I'll land a good deal.. :)

As some say in life 'never meet your hero' That applies here, believe me they are not worth £200 apart from that, most suffer from bad paint rash.

By the way, the pic you've shown is a Spider version ;)

F**k you Photobucket.

Yes, I know, for some reason I could not find a good pic of the Italia.. I am glad that you said that, because most of the time I'm still looking at them on Ebay and wondering if should go for it or not... :D Any good 458 Italia you would suggest? What do you know about the 1/43 HWE versions?

Autoart Mercedes 190E 2.3
Ottomobile BMW E39 M5

Fortunately Ottomobile decided to do another run of the E39. As for the merc, I guess my best hope would be Norev considering they are on the row with classic Mercs these days.. Still planning on getting their W116, W123 saloon and wagon and R129 at some point.. and their future release of R129 facelift and W115.

To be honest, the only opening 458 models are the Hot Wheels and HWE ones. The thing is, Red Ferrari models will always have a premium price over the others as once they are sold out, prices always go up and up.
You can either,
Hope to get a good deal on a Red one, but 99% of the time it won't be a perfect model.
Hope that another maker will announce one (doubtful, but the 458 is regarded as a good car, so it's possible)
See if you can find a deal on a resin one (they do not open) so for that you are looking at BBR and MR Collection models, but they are likely to be even more money.

Sorry. I don't know about 1/43 scale.

F**k you Photobucket.
