Wow!!!
The auto carrier is a beast.
Must be nerve wrecking getting the truck and several cars out to photograph.
How are the cars held in place and not roll down the inclines??

The 2 Centuries are fantastic.
Seems like there is a higher level of finesse from Kyosho.
Especially on the badges. There are much better defined and shaped.
However, the interior of the AUTOart Century nice. Even if some of the details are way too large for 1/18.
And importantly, the flocking in the AUTOart is impressive.
Love those seats. If only it came with the white lacy curtains too...

I have the same Monte Carlo, though in black and I do agree about the slab-sidedness. Still overall a great model though :occasion14:
Also love the transporter with all the modern VW's on it. Sometimes makes me wish I had a few more "normal" cars to to make mine look more realistic :nice:

LOL Beast is an understatement for that Auto carrier..LOL! WHEW, it was worth it for teh shots, but I don't think that I want to ever carry that thing outside to a location for another shoot.. :giggle:
Luckily, Kengfai-NZG supplied us miniature wheel braces that keeps the vehicles from rolling off. However, those are finnicky. Could you image that I have two more of these KengFai-NZG-G.D.C. Trailers in 1/64th scale and they also have the little wheel braces? Here, please have a look. It's just as detailed, but smaller.

I also felt like Kyosho nailed their details of the logos/mascots better than AUTOart! ..but overall AUTOart has the better shape for their Century. Interior wise AUTOart kills it. I couldn't resist those velour seating surfaces :drool5:
Now, I'm just waiting for LCD to release their diecast version :yahoo: Yes, lace curtains and dollies on the head rests would be the perfect finishing to to a Century. Cheers! :occasion14:

If only Ertl would have gotten that shape right, their 1985 Monte Carlo SS model would be near perfect! It's an AMAZING model and Auto World needs to go ahead and re-release it. Meanwhile Welly's versions is skyrocketing in price. Welly totally got the body shape right in the facelift 1987 version, it just needs teh details from the Ertl to set it off!

You know me, I get excited with the "Everyday" vehicles stuff. However, in reality, I like sports and exotics..plus power and speed. I just find it interesting to have models of grocery getters in the mix with teh rest of my collection. It certainly gives one something to talk about. Cheers! :occasion14:

You will need more trailers given the size of your collection.
The wheel braces are a new touch.
I imagine they will work better in the smaller scale as the models are lighter.

Lovely comparison on the W222 and W223 S-Class.
Still prefer the W222, think it looks more stately and would age better.
Feels like the W223 design would work better on a smaller car.
Model wise, Norev did a great job. The W223 interior is nicely replicated with the screens and speaker grills.
But the seat and a/c vent moldings can be better.
Congrats on being the first few to get a hold of the W223 diecast.

Thanks David, that would be appreciated. Your model collection is just Amazing to see, i wouldn't call it left ball but they are models that i wouldn't think to buy off my head. Awww, thanks Darren! I really appreciate hearing that my friend! :danke:  It makes the effort to shoot them all the more worth while. I guess better to share than to leave them all cupped up away from associated eyes.
I love collecting almost everything, but for some reason, I think that because of car design, teh most challenging jobs are very common cars. So, when one can make a family sedan, wagon or Van look good, that's a true achievement.
Super and hypercars usually are easier to make look cool, but engineering gives you a pretty neat packaging and from that point, you can make a neat looking spaceship on wheels :nice:  ...so, that's my rational on why I collect these Chinese Dealer Edition models.
I was chatting with Chaim about 1/12ths last night and I would have loved to have the space to keep collecting them. I really need an American Mega Mansion for space. It's already a "shall I or I shouldn't" with every new 1/18th scale purchase, due to SPACE...LOL :giggle: So, I have actually been shifting my hobby towards premium 1/64ths. I still have a lot of 1/18ths too shot. :bawling: Unfortunately, I feel like I am drowning in this hobby sometimes my friend.
Always glad to hear from you my friend! Cheers! :occasion14:
