Not sure what to think, but I am underwhelmed when looking at it. Disregarding the sealed resin part, I knew that going in. It just looks a bit rough to me. So much decals with that orange peely glare that decals do, and so many tiny defects when you look closely. :bawling: Not really qc issues, more budget-ish looking. It looks good from a few steps back, and the wheels are nice. Dont know what I expected.

I should add that this is my second resin model, and I dont like the other one either. But I want to like this car! Damnit.

I have loads of Sparks, And not one single problem with any of them. I think the 919 looks great.... But I will openly admit I am biased.

Seriously though. I have just got mine out to check it, And I cant see anything wrong with the decals.

I have the spark 1:43 dirty version 919 and I have to say, it's the best 1:43 models I've ever seen. The quality and finish is very good, and the detail for such a small model is immense. I have only seen pics of 1:18 version, but I would guess that it would be similar to my 1:43 in terms of quality. The problem is that if you don't like the spark car, there most likely won't be another choice in the short term at least. As for the 1:1 919, I love it. It's the best looking LMP1 car by miles and I love driving it at Le Mans on Forza 6 too.

TOM

My 1:43 collection thread will be made soon!

I think lateapex expected to see 787B/C9-like finish on the body shell, you just won't find that on Spark models. That being said I think Spark is still pretty good in terms of quality to money ratio, but like Dave I am also biased, I love their stuff.

You guys are probably right, maybe I was expecting too much. Maybe I expected Spark to improve in the two years since I got the last one. Maybe stuff have to cost 200 euros to look really sharp, I dunno.

I dont have any pics except this one, and it doesnt really highlight my dislikes:

As I said it looks great from a few steps back. Anyway, its packed away to see if I change my mind later. The good thing is I will get my money back when/if I decide to sell it later, I guess.

Look at it this way Fredrik, Its a winning LeMans Porsche.... Can you even comprehend how long it will take AUTOart or Minichamps to make one of these?

Enjoy it mate. Get one of those little TSM LeMans 24hrs winning trophies to go with it like I have done.
