Hi guys,


Sorry I'm late getting started with this, it's now time to nominate your DX member of the year for 2016 We're allowing multiple nominations (three per member) as we realise that different members have different skill sets.
This could mean a member has helped you out improving your photography. A member has provided you with expert knowledge in the custom models forums. They're a great knowledge base, or you feel that they've really made a difference to DX.



Feel free to nominate whoever you like (staff included) you don't have to say why unless you want to. Nominations will close on the  3rd Feb UK evening time & voting will start the week after.

I'll go first,

D N'D_Land, David is a TOP member, he always goes above and beyond, he's great to work with (thank you again for helping me out with the Model of the Year thread) he has a great collection, and he's a really pleasant chap to talk to too.

I will add two more if I think of them :)

I'm gonna go for:

• D N'D_Land - Always helpful, genuinely nice guy and a great contributor to this site. Sometimes I wonder just how much sleep he gets lol.
  
• Dave7872 - The only forum member I've bought a model from (faultless experience I might add) and an all round great guy to speak to.
  
• ironsim - I feel like he is the collector I'm most similar to, he's given me some great advice on photography and his collection updates have been on point these last few months.

P.S. there are plenty of others I'd like to nominate like Darren, Wes and others, but thems the rules!

Wow, thanks for the nomination mcaf123 !

its very hard to pick only 3 members, some are GREAT modders, others share their collection or tips, etc.
That said I nominate 3 members that has not been mentionned yet

Drivinghermad for his overall contribution, almost the only large scale collector here and great attitude
StratosWRC for the same reasons I nominated him last month, doing everything a DX member can do, share pics, customize models,etc.
mcaf123 for his very nice reviews, great pics and being a cool guy!

I hope other members will nominate other DXers I have in head

I would like to nominate Jim (ibj40) he has sold me a model or two and assisted me with souring others. ALso offered to help me with some mods. Top chap, great guy.

I will also nominate Winston (winstoncds) He helped me find my Holiest of grails and is also I super friendly and enthusiatic collector, it was a pleasure getting to know you more closely Winston and enjoy that LP500R!

Also I am nominating Eddy (mairandeddy), he has always been super postive and through the years I doubt anyone has given so much of their time to DX. I know you have had some stuff going on in 2016 Eddy, but I am thinking about you and I got your back! Eddy is a top chap. He is the member here I feel sets the bar for others, including Mods and admins to shoot for.

Thanks for the nominations Craig & Chaim!

This one is HARD to nail in only 3 members..but here goes...I don't take any of you for granted, but I have to name three so you ALL to me!

1). blanchimont (Hong) because he is literally one of the busiest people that I know (and one of two that I have literally known for more than 22 years in real life here on DX) and he took time out of his schedule plus growing family to help me source some model cars that I really really wanted..plus when one model was sold out, he had the right connections to have one created just for me!!! Thanks Hong!

2). Craig because he is working tirelessly behind the scenes to help keep DX rolling and since last year he has including me in on so key projects to help keep the board running seamlessly for us here.. Thanks Craig!  

3). mcaf123 (Chaim) because he has actually included me in on AWESOME project that would benefit us collectors and mostly because he's becoming a good friend beyond DXand very active here on the DX board. Thanks Chaim!   

Special Shout Outs to: the1 (Cristi) & Deanomite (Dean) for model trades last & this year plus friendship beyond DX!

Thanks for the vote ironsim,my three nominations are
1 . ironsim,he has been a Great member on these pages in the last year
2 . D N'D_Land,overall one of the most active members and always has a Great word to say on threads
3 . StratosWRC,another Great contributor like all the above members who has been showing some real beauties this last year
It's a shame to pin it down to just three members as i have many more who could easily be in this top three list,lets pop a cork to all the active members because without us all we wouldn't have the memories from here and there are some Great memories we all have i am sure.

Absolutely well stated Darren!! This board is AWESOME because of active members that are continuously posting and commenting like yourself!!    All I can say is that I love DX, made some good friends here and  whenever my home Laptop is on, DX is open (even if I am not using it!)...this site is worth a multiple daily check as it moves rather quickly!!
