Hello everyone and welcome to the show starring me and the owner of Exoto aka the famous Tony K.

So we are going to start with my purchase, I bought on december 27th 2016 a Nissan R91 CV 500 km Fuji #25.
It was on "sale" , so I bought it for 299$. Of course , classic Exoto things , the model was 399$ two days later and it is now 499$ , still in sale of course !

Happy with the price, I had start to wait for this model, I live in France so my thoughts was that the car will arrive around the 10th of January.
Oh boy I was wrong ... I had no news of anything on the 5... So I emailed T. to know when the car was going to be send.
No response for 5 days and on the 10th I have finally my tracking number ! Great !! Everything is good !

So, long wait, but about 10 days later I got my model, finally !!

I was very excited, I could not wait to open it, so I unboxed it and the model and I discover many flaws on the paint, some parts was unglued and even a part was missing.

So of course I emailed again T. and of course , classic... No response !

So by chance I had paid with PayPal, so immediately I made a PayPal thing with this demand :

- New part for my rear wing
- Or 50$ refund ( with no hope for this one)

And magical ! An instant email by mister Tony himself, saying that he will send the part but first I need to close the PayPal dispute.

So like everyone in the die cast industry, I know the reputation of Exoto. So I simply ask to send the part first and as soon as I receive it I will close the dispute.
But apparently no way for him, "31 years in the business", "you can trust us" ... and so and so

And another instant surprise at the end of 10 emails back and forth : 50$ on my PayPal, without any message.

So I emailed him once again, and there is his response : "If you want that part, the cost is $50.00 + $25.00 for shipping."
SO , the part was free 20 minutes ago, but now a little photo-etc part cost 75$ :giggle: :giggle:

So here we are, no more responses, and no part...
Of course I don't want those 50$, I just want my part, but I guess I have no chance to see it ...

Hope you all enjoyed this little story :occasion14:
Sorry for my not so great english...

You have to be VERY wary when dealing directly with them, my advice is, save yourself the hassle and buy elsewhere! I'm pretty convinced their 'sales' are just an excuse to palm off defective models, paint rash & scratches on a brand new Jaguar D Type ? Alrighty then!!  I sent that POS back.

F**k you Photobucket.

My sentiments exactly Craig, I've read so many stories when dealing direct with Exoto and going wrong that I refuse to buy direct.

The only time I dealt directly with Extorto was when I purchased the presidential series Hummer H1 for 29 USD and free shipping within the US.

So yesterday I send a one last message and I said that I don’t mind about money , I just want my part ! And I said that if he said no, I will put another PayPal dispute to get my part ...

Response :

"Grégoire,

I gave you $50 back because that was 1 solution proposed by YOU. So, the $50 + shipping will not be for the part, but to adjust the price you paid - which is very, very good for this model.

If you even try, I shall report to PayPal and they will, at least, cancel your account. <- About PayPal dispute

Best Regards,
Tony Pierre Keusseyan"

What a great person ! Now he want to cancel my account just because I want my part ...

You shouldn't have asked for the $50. You gave him an option for either the part or the money. Now that he gave you the money, he no longer has to give you the part. You should have insisted on the part only.

I agree with Wes, you requested the part or $50. He's paid the $50, as far as paypal are concerned, case closed. Unfortunately you may find it difficult to take this any further with paypal

Give him the 50 back for the part. At least you complete the model.. puzzle, whatever Mr. T thinks it is.

I too agree with Wes, also once a PayPal dispute has been closed, you can't have it opened again. You gave him two options, and he has fulfilled one of them. Personally I'd have returned the model, but that's me :twocents:

F**k you Photobucket.

Any pics of the model. You could perhaps get a similar spare from online stores like Legends Miniature.

Honnestly I didn't think that he was going to let 50$ instead of the part, big mistake I recognize...

And for the dispute you can open as many as you want on any transaction, as long as only one is in open at a time.

I will take a picture to show you.

He's fulfilled your request, you have nothing further to ask for. As annoying as you find it, you should leave the man alone.
