€190 for a P1 GTR in metal with full openings - same price CK has for the TSM resin P1, or €100 less than AUTOart's composite version.

Yep can only imagine how much more expensive the Autoart one will be. Wonder how long we have to wait for a release?

The Bentleys you see in the minichamps booth actually belong to ARM. In fact most of the displays in their booth are shared with bbr, ARM and Kyosho.

If the P1 GTR is around 190 Euros or 250 CDN, then I wonder who would buy Autoart's plastic version for almost $100 CDN more. Anyone know when they will hit the shelves?

Which probably means, ARM must have had an exclusive view of the GTR's engine in order to create a replica for their model?

AR had a trip to UK visited McLaren's HQ back in November. Some deals between them happened would be my guess.

Hurry up and release something already so we can see exactly how good your models are.
Quit teasing a million releases in a gazillion colours.

I don't mind them doing it this way. They've at least shown some prototypes that look close to completion, if they need some time to improve them then I prefer that to releasing a flawed model. They seem to be a company that want to do things right.
It could be much worse; check out the LS Collectibles thread for a company that promised much and delivered little. Virtually none of the models they trumpeted have materialised, and the ones that have look look a bit naff.

HPD is worse mate LOL

HPD... lol

My future self from five years from now visited me last night. I was asleep, and he slapped me in the face and yelled, "Quit dreaming about HPD! They never came!"

I can't wait to see what it looks like when finished, but I think that might be some way off yet. I'm yet to buy a McLaren P1 model, let a lone a GTR one, so hopefully it's spectacular, I think it will be! :hope:

F**k you Photobucket.

Hmm, not to convinced yet on the P1 GTR, but the land rovers and Range Rover already look fabulous. I'm getting these ones for sure. I hope the will be retailed very soon here in Europe. It's nice to see a model manufacturer filling in the gaps Autoart and Kyosho have created.

Since the AUTOart P1 GTR only has two opening doors, the Almost Real P1 GTR is probably the most best one in 1:18.

By the looks of things, the different versions they are planning, especially the D110s look very similar to Century Dragon except it looks like they will have opening rear doors (Hope so!). The D90s sure look a lot like the Kyoshos tho.

:agreed:

Let's hope the rest of their models are as nice as this, it bodes well for the P1 GTR and if they can keep to the sub-€200 price point with decent QC, they will be selling a lot of models this year.  I'll be interested to see some close-ups of the engine and interior on the Landie, but there are lots of really nice details on the outside.  That numbered plaque looks 3D!

It's not cheap though, official price 1160 yuan = $169 = 160 euro.

Perhaps not as cheap as a Norev or a GT Spirit, but that is a very good price for a fully opening, highly detailed diecast. Was anyone expecting these to be 100 models? AUTOart are putting out 'regular' composites for more than that and their detail has mostly been nowhere near as good; the recent diecast Vantage is 250 at CK. Most Signatures now have a recommended price twice as much as AR are asking.

A full chassis and engine, for the price this is impressive. AUTOart's recent signature releases don't even look this good.
